1- Combine Ingredients:

  • Add the following spices into the pot: salt, pepper, ginger, turmeric, paprika, cumin, and cinnamon.

2- Stir Mixture:

  • Pour in the olive oil.
  • Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until the onions are soft and the spices are aromatic.

3- Boil Water:

  • Fill the pot with water, ensuring it reaches 3/4 of the pot's volume.
  • Increase the heat to bring the water to a rolling boil.

4- Cook Semolina:

  • Gradually add the barley semolina to the boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for 20 minutes.

5- Serve:

  • Stir occasionally until the barley semolina is fully cooked and the soup has thickened.
