Greetings, friends! I hope you are all doing well!
As I promised, here is the other dragon I was working on. The idea for this drawing has a story behind it: when I used to go camping—God, how I miss that—at dawn in the mountains you could see the sun rising over the grass. That's when I thought: this dragon surely likes to sunbathe every morning, since it's cold-blooded and also a grass dragon. I also wanted to do something that simulated those pages in books with illustrations related to the story. Well, friends, I hope you like it. I was planning to start another dragon, BUT new characters came out and I can't wait to draw them, hehe.

Como les prometí, aquí está el otro dragón en el que estaba trabajando. La idea para este dibujo tiene una historia detrás: cuando solía ir de camping —Dios, cómo extraño eso—, al amanecer en la montaña se podía ver el sol saliendo sobre las hierbas.

Ahí pensé: este dragón seguramente le gusta tomar el sol todas las mañanas, ya que es de sangre fría y aparte es un dragón de hierba.

También quería hacer algo que simulara esas páginas de libros con ilustraciones referentes a la historia.

Bien, amigos, espero les guste. Tenía pensado iniciar otro dragón, PERO salieron nuevos personajes y no puedo esperar a dibujarlos, jeje.

Process/Proceso

Just like the other dragon, it has an elongated shape. It's not my strong suit, I need to keep practicing, but I think this basic shape has good potential. Next, we created the sketch in red. I had a clear idea of how I wanted the character to look, something between a coiled snake and a cute little dog basking in the morning sun. As a final step, I did the line art in black using the “Yuna” brush.

Igual que con el otro dragón tiene una forma alargada, no es mi fuerte debo seguir practicando, pero creo que esta forma base tiene buen potencial, seguido de esto creamos el boceto en color rojo, tenia una idea clara de como quería al personaje algo entre una serpiente enrollada y un bonito perrito tomando el sol en la mañana. Como paso final hice el lineart en color negro usando el pincel "Yuna"

We apply the base color, for the background there are several layers, including two for the mountains, the ground, the sky, etc., followed by the layers for the character. However, the background of this illustration requires the most work.

Aplicamos el color base, para el fondo son varias capas entre ellas dos para las montañas la del suelo la del cielo etc., seguido de esto las capas del personaje aun así el mayor trabajo lo tiene el fondo de esta ilustración

We start by blurring the background of the sky, followed by adding details... lots of details. In this step, these small details add up to the final result. I was experimenting with different brushes to make the distant grass. If you zoom in on the image, you can see what I mean.
We added some small clouds and trees to the background and, of course, details to the mountains. Now that I think about it, small details like ice on the peaks would have looked great.
With a different brush that I was using for the first time, we added those little grasses, keeping in mind that the closer they are to the viewer, the darker their tone should be. To finish the background, I added white flowers. At first, I thought about adding several colors, but I feel like it would be too saturated... or I don't know, what do you think?

Empezamos difuminando el fondo del cielo, seguido de ello agregamos detalles... muchos detalles, en este paso estos pequeños detalles van sumando al resultado final, estuve experimentando con diferentes pinceles para hacer las hiervas lejanas si puedes hacer zoom en la imagen podrás ver de lo que hablo.
Agregamos unas nubes pequeños árboles al fondo y como no detalles a las montañas ahora que lo pienso fuera quedado genial pequeños detalles como hielo en la punta.
Con un pincel diferente y nuevo primera vez que lo uso agregamos esas pequeñas hiervas, teniendo en cuenta que mientras más cerca al espectador más oscuro debe ser su tono, para finalizar el fondo agregue flores blancas, en un inicio pensé en agregar de varios colores, pero siento que sería muy saturado... o no sé que opinan ustedes?

It's time to add details to the character. The green body is the surface that would take the longest to complete. After applying the shadows and highlights, I added a touch of skin texture, nothing too noticeable, just a very subtle detail. The rest of the details are the petals. I think the pink things on the character are petals. Well, let's say they are petals; that's how I wanted to illustrate them, haha.

Es momento de agregar detalles al personaje, siendo el cuerpo en tono verde la superficie que más tiempo llevaría del mismo, después de aplicar las sombras y brillos le di un toque de textura de piel nada tan remarcado solo un detalle muy sutil. El resto de detalles son los pétalos creo que son pétalos las cosas de color rosa en el personaje bueno digamos que son pétalos así los quise ilustrar jeje

Finally, we adjusted all the colors with Corel software. Sometimes it improves the image, other times I don't like the result, haha. In this case, I managed to adjust it to this tone. Keep in mind that the character is backlit, but I didn't want to lose too much detail.
This was the result!

Para finalizar ajustamos todos los colores con el programa corel algunas veces lo mejora otras veces no me gusta el resultado jaja en este caso logre ajustarlo a este tono, tengamos en cuenta que el personaje esta a contra luz pero no queria perder tanto detalle.
