How are you all? I hope that by the grace of God, you are all well and healthy. I am also doing quite well. Today, I am here to share a very special moment of my Splinterlands game. For those of us who play the game regularly, every small achievement is a great joy. And if that achievement comes after many ups and downs and disappointments, then that joy should increase many times over. Today, I will tell you the story of my struggle last season, where I was losing and hitting the wall, but how I turned around.

Many of you may know how important it is to have a good quality card collection to do well in Splinterlands. To be honest, my card collection is not very impressive. Many times, the opponent has max-level cards or expensive legendary cards, against which it becomes a challenge to survive with my normal deck. But that's not why I give up!

I play the game regularly every day. My daily routine involves playing about 40 to 50 battles in Modern and Fortune. There will be wins and losses, but I try to learn something new from each battle. Last season, I worked hard to reach 'Silver II' in Modern Combat. That's when I made a promise to myself that I would have to reach Silver 1 in the next season.

We all know that setting a goal is easy, but achieving it is difficult, and I felt it in my bones this season. The beginning of the season was fairly good. But in the middle, suddenly, it was like Saturn's phase! I started losing matches one after another. No matter how much I changed my strategy, no matter how much I changed my positioning, I couldn't see any victory.

My situation got to such a point that my rating dropped below 1000! Those of you who play will understand what it's like to see your rating drop below 1000 after working so hard to increase it. My mood became sour, I thought, "Oh my God!" Maybe I won't be able to reach Silver 1 this season. I almost decided to give up. I thought, "Wait, there's no point in playing anymore; this season has been a failure."

I closed the game in frustration. But something was stirring inside my mind. I felt like I was so close that I would give up. When the night got a little darker, I thought, "Let's try one last time. If I lose, I will lose, but I won't accept defeat without trying."

I sat down with a completely cool head. Instead of thinking about why I was losing before, I checked my opponent's past 5-match history in each match. I arranged my counter deck to understand which splinters they were using the most. And that's when the miracle started happening!

The one who was losing matches continuously in the morning started winning matches one after another at night. My confidence returned. Little by little, my points kept increasing. I crossed the 1000 mark, then 1200, and finally, that desired moment came. Big words flashed on my screen—"MODERN SILVER I - UNLOCKED". I can't describe the feeling of relief and joy at that moment in words. It felt like a huge burden had been lifted from my shoulders.

You can understand how difficult this journey of mine was just by looking at my leaderboard statistics. I have shared a screenshot with you, which shows:

Total Battles: 408! (Can you imagine? Playing 408 matches in a season is not a small thing.)

Wins: 203

Highest Win Streak: 7

Win Rate: 49.75%

Leaderboard Rank: 44

Maintaining a win rate of around 50% after playing 408 matches was really challenging for a casual card collection player like me. But at the end of the day, being able to stay at rank 44 is worth my hard work.

After unlocking Silver 1, I happily went to open my reward or loot chests. I had several potions in my hand, so I used them to open the chests to increase the chances of getting something good.
I got a total of 6 bronze chests and 3 silver chests. What I got after opening the chests:

  1. Merits: I got a lot of merits (69 + 139 + 540). About 748 merits in total! Those who play in a guild know that these merits are more expensive than gold to buy the Gladiator's Pack.
  2. Cards:

Swampwrought (Rare): I really like this Earth elemental card.

Palimpsest Prophet (Common): This card from Life Splinter is also quite useful.

Magmaforged (Common): Good for Fire decks.

Husk of the Hunter (Common): A card from Death Splinter.

  1. Other: I also got 1 Alchemy Potion and 1 Common Scroll.

I may not have gotten any Gold Foil or Legendary cards, but these merits and the new cards are a big deal to me. Especially the 540 merit drop was a treat.

Splinterlands has taught me one thing, and that is patience. In life or in games, success doesn't come quickly. When you fall, you have to get back up. My story of falling below 1000 ratings may be similar to many others. I will only tell you this: whatever your collection, have faith in yourself. If you play with a cool head, success will come.

I am ending this here as it is today. Thank you all so much for reading this small story of my achievements and experiences. See you in the next blog, until then, everyone stay well and keep playing the Battlefield.
