Hello, all Splinterlands friends, Today will be a memorable day in my Splinterlands career. Gaming is not just about winning, but also about the right community and the right strategy. Today, on the one hand, I won a tough match in the Silver League, and on the other hand, I joined a wonderful new family. Today, I will share with you the story of that breathtaking 92 mana fight, wheNidhoggrdhoggr Summoner and blast tactics left the opponent in dust.

But before I get to the story of the battle, let me share the beginning of my new journey.

My New guild: "Pizza A Slice of Madness"

As a gamer, playing with a team is always more fun than walking the path alone. I have been looking for an active and supportive guild for quite some time. Finally, I joined the "Pizza A Slice of Madness" guild by talking to the admin through Discord. As you can see in the screenshot, AIRONEOUS and SWENY greeted me warmly after entering the guild. Their sincerity made me feel like I had come to the right place. I hope to participate in many big tournaments and brawls for this guild in the future.

Now let's get to the main attraction of today, those tense moments on the battlefield.

Battlefield: When the rules are challenging

Today's match was in the Silver II League. The mana cap was huge—92 Mana! Seeing such a huge mana, I realised that today was the day to take down big monsters.

The rulesets of the battle were quite strategic:

    1. Weak Magic: Magic attacks will hit armour before directly reducing health.
    1. Healed Out: No unit can heal. That is, once it takes damage, there is no chance to recover it.

I chose the Dragon element from the available elements because I had a special trump card in my hand.

My Masterplan: Nidhoggr and Blast's deadly bite

In this match, the opposition brought an N40 Water deck, and their Summoner was Kelya Frendul (+1 Speed, ++1 Armour. I needed devastating power to break their speed and armour. So I chose my Dragon Summoner, Nidhoggr.

Why Nidhoggr?

Nidhoggr's special ability is that it reduces all enemy units to 1Armourr and -1 Health. In the "Weak Magic" rules, rreducing armourwas like winning half the battle.

Tactics Selection:

Before the battle starts, I am asked to choose a tactchosechoose "Blast" without hesitation. This gives 3 of my units the Blast ability (which also deals damage to units around the main target). In a high mana match where the opponent uses 6 cards, the damage of the Blast can turn the game around.

My Invincible Army (Lineup Analysis)

To utilise 92 mana and Blast tactics, I arranged my lineup as follows:

  1. Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut (Tank): I placed this golden nopam or dwarf warrior in front of everyone. Its 20 health and Trample ability turned it into a living fortress. With healing disabled, a tank with such huge health was my only hope.

  2. Infernal Firestorm: This fearsome dragon was in second position. Its Flank ability and huge attack power were enough to pressure the enemy from the front row.

  3. Night Reaper: This chimeric beast was in third place. Its Magic Attack and Wingbreak abilities were a godsend for flying enemies. Moreover, its Flying ability helped it miss the enemy's physical attacks.

  4. Grove Doomblade: I took it to increase the power of the midfield. With its Sneak ability, it was targeting the enemies in the back row, and because of its Fury ability, it was dealing double damage against taunt cards.

  5. Chaos Evoker: This card was my secret weapon. Not only did it do magic attacks, but it also had its own Blast ability. With the blast of my tactics and its own blast, it became a terror for the opponent.

  6. Kazira Vaelstrik: I kept Kazira for last. Its Flying and Immunity abilities were perfect for late protection.

Battlefield mayhem

As soon as the match started, the opponent started attacking using the speed of their water units. Their Arke, miss the, Bear and Coastal Sentry were quite strong. But my Nidhoggr had already reduced armour.

The most spectacular scene was when my Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut stood like a mountain and endured all the blows. The opponent couldn't reduce his 20 health. On the other hand, when my Chaos Evoker and the units that had Tactics were attacking, 2-3 of the opponent's cards were taking damage at once due to Blast.

Due to the "Healed Out" rules, the opponent could not recover that blast damage. One by one, their Deeplurker and Noa the Just fell victim to my Blast and Sneak Attack and left the field.

The final victory

After a hard-fought battle of 5 rounds, I waved the victory flag! As you can see in the screenshot, my Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut is still standing like a hero, and the entire opponent's team is wiped out.

As a result of this victory, I gained 20 rating points and received 176 Glint and 0.536 SPS as a reward. But even greater than the reward was the satisfaction that my Nidhoggr + Blast combination and card selection were perfect. Even though the opponent's speed was high, my strategy and ability to understand the rules brought me this victory.

A victory like this after joining a new guild is really special. I hope that I can go far in the future with the "Pizza A Slice of Madness" guild. For those of you who play Splinterlands, which strategy do you prefer in high mana matches? Don't forget to tell us in the comments.

That's it for today. See you in the next blog, with a new battle story! Battle On!
