Beyond the Heat: How I Transformed My Heavy Feelings into a Lighter One

Hello, lovely Hivers!!!

Some schools have already continued learning distribution through modules, online classes, or limited face-to-face sessions. However , in the case of my daycare's sister school, classes still haven't resumed since the earthquake. The environment needs to be clean, so the teacher asked the guardians to spend time cleaning, and assisting with feeding. Even though classes haven't resumed , the school also needs to be clean for a better environment.
The call time was supposed to be at 8 AM, but I arrived at almost 9 AM due to some reasons. Yet, I was still confident even though I was a bit late since many of us were late , HAHAHA. Just kidding!

The weather was so hot, but the guardians managed to clean the surroundings properly. I didn't bring a bolo , so I used my hands to pull the grass since it wasn't tough.

I noticed that the grass had really grown tall , and we wouldn't be able to finish it in just one day since only a few of us were cleaning. This was because some families had moved to other places due to the earthquake damage , the recent typhoon, and some of them were already on vacation. Oh, what a nice vacation!

As time went on, the others felt tired because of the intense heat, so the teacher decided to distribute the feeding. However, some of us still spent more time cleaning since we still had energy—or so we thought! Kidding!

In the room, we were all gathered , waiting for our names to be called to receive our individual feeding. After just a few minutes, it was over, so we went home.

But here's a little struggle in going home. My cousin's motorcycle didn't have gas, so I just commuted. But before that, though , I bought a snack because I was very thirsty and hungry. And since I was just on the side of the road, it was really smoky and a bit hot, so I quickly consumed it before riding to Skena.

And there's more!
The battle isn't over yet because I still had to walk and carry these heavy things. But still, thankful since it's also a blessing so, still fighting. I really had to fight the heat, dizziness , and tiredness because it was quite a long way to go home. However, I didn't mind the tiredness too much and just enjoyed the moment while walking.

And what's even more relaxing?
It was losing myself in music, singing along to my favorite tunes as I walked , and letting positive thoughts fill my mind. It was truly a pleasure to make the journey home a little brighter.
