In Simple Ways : A Heartfelt Birthday Celebration for Mom

Hello, lovely Hivers!

December 18, 2025 ,was my mother's birthday, but we celebrated it on December 21, 2025 which is Sunday, like we usually do. It was a simple celebration , but it was truly fulfilling, memorable and appreciated. We only have birthdays once a year , so a simple and meaningful celebration is enough to show love, gratitude , and appreciation to our loved ones.

Our house isn't finished yet , so we hold the celebration at my aunt's house where we're currently staying temporarily. My father took charge of cooking the food, while my siblings, cousin, and I handled the decorations. At first, we were struggling a bit because the first design we tried to put up didn't turn out right , and removing it piece by piece was a hassle. Another struggle was that , it kept falling off because it wasn't sticking well to the tape. But we managed to figure it out in the end.

We also had number balloons, but as we were about to put one up, it suddenly started deflating . We tried to check if it had a hole, but before we could figure it out, my sister accidentally popped it. So, we just decided to leave it out. It was a bit stressful at that moment , but we really made an effort to make the celebration special for our beloved mother.

After everything was done and the food was prepared, we started taking pictures. Then, we offered our thanksgiving to the Almighty God through prayer , followed by the birthday song that we sang for the birthday celebrant. It was a heartwarming moment, feeling grateful for the time together.

A mother's love is everything. She's a person who's made a lot of sacrifices just to take care of us and love us unconditionally. And as a simple thanksgiving , we can show our love not just in words, but also through actions and gestures. Not just on their birthdays, but every day. I'm forever grateful to have a wonderful mother like her, a selfless, caring lovable, and a precious gift from God.
