7-Eleven and Lipton Iced Tea Fiasco: Expiry Woes in Ko Samui

Well, in Germany, I've developed the habit of checking the expiration date on practically every food item to ensure that it's still okay to consume. Unfortunately, this routine can be challenging here in Thailand, especially when it comes to the expiration date. One would assume that for around 25 Baht per bottle, you could at least get something palatable at the 7Eleven store in the northeast of Ko Samui. My brother @rivalzzz bought the bottles and took a hearty first sip at the hotel, only to almost vomit. Normally, one expects an iced tea to be refreshing, but, unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. We're documenting today's date, December 6, 2023, and it turns out both bottles had expired and were inedible.

Well, what can I say... I won't go back for 50 baht, but I will be more careful now when I buy drinks. So, do you also like to check the expiry date of the food you buy?
