Drive. No Turning Back

There was no other route to where we intended to go last week but this one, where visibility is at its lowest due to mist and fog hovering in the area. It was just midday (noonish), and the road was mostly like this.

For some, it may have seemed we were heading to our doom. I mean, we can't even see what's beyond the fog, but we were determined to finish what we started and continued on our journey despite the risks ahead. In fact, we were quite excited about what we might discover along the way. It was what we set out for in the first place, and either we go at that time or never. We agreed it was a "GO" and there was no turning back.
It is true that when we know exactly what or where we want to be, we keep pushing, no matter the circumstances. Crossroads, falling rocks, traffic, poor visibility, and other things may cause fear, doubts, delays, and even force us to take some detours, yet we go forth knowing we will arrive sooner or later.
That made me think about the goals we have set for ourselves this year, which we have been working on since January - 2.5k HBD on savings, and stacking some sats. There had been some distractions, but we are still on our daily grind because we want to cross the numbers off.
Speaking of, here's how week 26 went so far:
| Week 25 | Week 26 (current) | + / - | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Savings | 1,678 | 1,693 | +15 HBD |
| Sats | 180,915 | 185,564 | +4,649 sats |
Small growth on both. Just about a 0.8% increase in our savings and 2.56% on Sats. Well, I converted 52 HBD via the v4v.app earlier in the week, which, if I should choose, could add a good chunk to the Sats balance, but I might spend them soon, so they have not been included in the current numbers. I'm pretty happy with how things are going, although I would love to progress faster. Will have to see about that in the next six months.
Anyhow, back to the trip, despite the foggy atmosphere and challenging roads, we arrived at our destination, got the day's task off our backs, and had a great time doing it. We even enjoyed the beautiful sights of the fields on the way.

Alas! We accomplished something we could have brushed off or postponed for another time, and easily blamed the weather or something. So yes, we feel good and fulfilled, even when we came home really late that day. We sure can do anything when we set our minds on it.
