This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League, documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

The first half of the season has come to an end and there now is a 15-day Winter break before there are 4 Cup matches followed by week 21 of the league. Week 20 again was something of a rollercoaster that eventually ended break-even. As always there were 8 matches but this time they were spread out over 2 days with all 4 matches each day fully bradcast so 6+ full hours of football watching trying to stay focused which wasn't always easy. It's also one of the points where I clearly can improve upon as too often I tend to go a bit in Automatic Pilot as I have been doing this for so long instead of fully zoning in on what is happening and where to potentially find an edge.

Betting remains a bih challenge and it continues to include quite some variance even though that all evens out in the long run. One of the interesting matches was AA Gent vs Westerlo where it kind of made no sense for AA Gent to get a high odds +0 line but at the same time there is a pattern of the situations were this happens showing that the market was right. So it's the eternal battle between traditional handicapping and giving respect to the market which makes it a massive challenge to make profit.I would like to be in a spot where I can systematicallu pick high probability higher odds bets and stake huge amounts of them but this simply is not realistic at least not for me and I don't think it is for anyone really. So I'm down for the grind to slowly but surely work my way up toward profit season after season.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2025-2026

I had 1 bigger bet with Stvv at a DNB line, which was actually quite straightforward, while at the same time, Standard took the lead while only after they got a red card, Stvv managed to get over it and win it. I kept my pre-game stake to 0.5 units which left me room to take extra after they fell behind. This match also saved my week. It's been a good strategy this season to keep these official selective as I'm up 3.971 units on them after 18 bets in 20 weeks.

Season 2025-2026 Personal Betting Chart

I can be quite pleased with the chart this first part of the season which is pretty much going up in s straight line without too many swings. The main goal week after week is to get my average stakes up without exponentially increasing the risk. This will also be the aim going forward in 2026. At the same time, I still do regular withdrawals to cover some basic life expenses so it's not that my overall balance on sportmarket pro is only going up over the years. There are also the limits which is part of the reason why my average stake is rather low. I still bet a lot of corner bets (306 bets out of 885 this season) as I feel I have more edge there which often only allow a fraction of my stakes.
