Saturday was more or less a break-even day where I where the small gamble on Genk failed as they were nowhere the entire match still suffering from the same issues despite the coach change and the winter break. Cercle did manage to take the outright win as the underdog against Westerlo which I predicted correctly. 4 more matches on Sunday and I'm once again looking forward to them!
AA Gent vs Anderlecht
These teams played in the cup on the pitch of Anderlecht in the mid-week which ended in a 1-0 home win. In the match, AA Gent actually was the slight better team but in the end failed to create much aside from some corners while Anderlecht scored on a penalty in an under match. So purely based on how that played out, Gent as the underdog at home feels tempting. However, the fact remains that Gent have a couple key injuries (Delorge, Samoise) while they did see a couple players leave who haven't been replaced. So it feels like they aren't fully ready yet and also didn't impress on the offensive end. Anderlecht generally is better at home compared to away, they are a team that needs to have it from work ethic and not so much from their quality and have some defensive issues as they are thin to start off with while they have some injuries and Hey is also suspended. When it comes down to xg against in the last 4 league matches, they are worst at 2.28 average. Purely based on the cup match and the home advantage, I took 0.16 units on AA

Dender vs Antwerp
Dender is still last in the standings and they also lost with 0-2 from Union in the cup while Antwerp is close to a playoff spot, won in the cup and are on a 7W-1D streak in their last 8 matches. However they have been quite fortunate and especially on the road have looked rather weak still. This makes them a team that is on my list to oppose and today feels like a good opportunity for that. Dender was arguably the better team in the 1st half at home against Union in the cup even though they benched some players with an eye on the match today. I'm willing to take a gamble on the home team today with the following bets/ 0.18 units on
Dender +0.25 @ 1.865, 0.12 units on
1st Half Dender +0 @ 2.250 , 0.06 units on
Dender Team Total Over 1 @ 1.800, along with 0.236 units on
Dender 1st Half +0.5 Corners @ 1.833 (which I see as my main bet on this match), 0.04 units on
Dender +1 Corners @ 1.900 with an eye to possibly take more on Dender Corners Team Total Over 4 once that becomes available. I expect a forward and motivated home team from the start and Antwerp away has yet to have an away match where they get less than 4 corners against.
Charleroi vs Standard
Charleroi has been quite hot ever since Coach De Mil left and Cornelis took over despite the very difficult schedule. This with generally good performances and they also qualified for the cup semi-final as the better team at home against Club Brugge taking the deserved win. Titraoui is suspended but Guiagon is in a great form. The main thing they have it difficult with is when they have to make the play and create chances while they are better against teams who play forward so they can strike on the counters. Standard has been pretty poor overall and it remains a small miracle that they are inside playoff 1 now. I expect them to mainly defend against Charleroi and try to break out on the counter. The odds generally felt right and maybe even a bit overly adjusted on Charleroi but overnight there was a move that pushed the odds up and lines down and I have no real clue what caused it at the moment. I'm tempted by Charleroi -0.25 @ 1.80 (1.77 at te moment), Charleroi 1st Half -0.25 & Charleroi on the corners. Charleroi is hot at the moment while Standard barely is capable of creating chances at just 0.57 xg created on average. I did take just a 0.12 unit bet on
Charleroi 1H -0.25 @ 2.163 along with 0.08 units on
Charleroi 1H -0.75 corners @ 1.780 which leaves me with a lot of options to possibly take more in-game.
Sint-Truiden vs OH Leuven
Stvv has been the revelation of the season and there is no real reason to see why they would have a major fallback now. They managed to keep their team over the winter even though there are some outgoing transfer rumours which might influence the level op play of some players. The thing though is that the market fully caught up by the situation as theyare getting a line where they are the -0.75 favorite. OHL has been poor overall this season and the coach change hasn't made much difference. This while on paper they still have plenty of quality and they should be able to do a lot better. Basically they are a team that can't be trusted at the moment while I'm not jumping to take a -0.75 favorite line on Stvv.
