Actually available for quite some time already, but only recently out of the testing phase, [Dungeon Cities](https://play.dungeoncities.com/login?ref=arc7icwolf) is the first Hive Game I have gone back to playing after a break that lasted several months. It is a fantasy-themed game belonging to the text-based RPG genre. The player’s main goal is to explore Dungeons, defeating the creatures encountered and collecting equipment, keys to access the next levels, and resources: what we find can then be sold, used to craft items, or equipped on our character to improve their stats. In this regard, in addition to the classic health points, attack, and defense, a particularly important stat is "**stamina**", which represents the energy at our disposal: exploring Dungeons involves a constant consumption of stamina, which is reduced with every exploratory action we take. Once stamina runs out, we will no longer be able to continue exploring the Dungeon and will have to wait for it to regenerate, or replenish it by using food and potions. Another extremely relevant aspect is the inventory, where all the items we find are stored: it is in fact very limited and difficult to expand, forcing us to carefully evaluate what to pick up and what to leave behind, and when to exit a Dungeon to sell some of the items we have collected. The core of the gameplay therefore consists of carefully balancing our stamina and our inventory, with the goal of collecting the greatest possible number of useful or valuable items while keeping stamina consumption as low as possible.
## Aldorian Key of Granite Resolve To celebrate the game’s release from the testing phase and allow everyone to try [Dungeon Cities](https://play.dungeoncities.com/login?ref=arc7icwolf), a promotion is currently active that allows players to obtain **for free** an Aldorian Key of Granite Resolve, which is the key that grants full access to the game and would normally cost 5 dollars. ![](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/arc7icwolf/23z7DhARKe5w57g11Su5KXQgHyrzVdbZg7KpvGGqmribFa7pHM2WRxCE2q3BdMjgDjcvL.JPG) To obtain it, simply go to the [official Discord server of the game](https://discord.gg/8YYbuvMA3t) and enter your Hive username in the "**hive-usernames**" channel: within a short time—from a few minutes to a few hours—you will receive your free key and be able to start playing. **IMPORTANT!!!** Before requesting a free key, remember to log into [Dungeon Cities](https://play.dungeoncities.com/login?ref=arc7icwolf) at least once, so that the key can be correctly transferred to you.
## My first steps I started playing less than a week ago and, even though the game is very simple and features several AI-generated images of not particularly high quality, I must say I am enjoying it: the presence of an in-game economy, where players can sell and buy items found in Dungeons, and a progression system which, between levels and equipment, already shows a decent amount of depth, easily makes you want to attempt another exploration, in search of a valuable item to sell or one you need to improve your stats. ![](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/arc7icwolf/23tSb4EVAtk67WPH5dJxZZ7BbZpuCbNsgaTVuMP5accsnpyQ76ERThEJMQqorR6fwLpLb.JPG) An additional incentive to check the game daily is provided by "**daily bonuses**" that can be claimed once per day: these consist of a potion that restores half of our stamina and, for Premium users, 100 DRUBBLE—the game’s token—and an additional potion that fully restores stamina. Becoming a Premium user requires spending 2 dollars and the subscription lasts one week, from Sunday to Saturday: Premium users, in addition to receiving the bonus items mentioned above, can also claim rewards from previous days if they forgot to log in, and they also receive a larger weekly bonus at the end of the week. In fact, users who claim their daily bonus every day and Premium users—who can claim them whenever they want, as long as it is by Saturday—receive 300 DRUBBLE and 3 VIP points (which become 8 if you are a Premium user). Subscribing to Premium allows you to expand your inventory, receive a small income in DRUBBLE, and also obtain the extra daily rewards described above: among all the options, it is therefore, in my opinion, the most convenient one and can provide a useful advantage at the beginning, helping you grow faster than other players. For now, I have subscribed to the first week of Premium and I am waiting a few days before renewing it for the second week as well, so that by the end of the week I can reach the first level of the VIP Lounge. Disponibile in realtà già da diverso tempo, ma uscito da poco dalla fase di testing, [Dungeon Cities](https://play.dungeoncities.com/login?ref=arc7icwolf) è il primo Hive Game che torno a giocare dopo una pausa durata alcuni mesi. Si tratta di un gioco ad ambientazione fantasy ed appartenente al genere text-based RPG. Lo scopo principale del giocatore è quello di esplorare dei Dungeons, sconfiggendo le creature incontrate e raccogliendo equipaggiamento, chiavi di accesso ai successivi livelli e risorse: ciò che troviamo può essere poi venduto, utilizzato per craftare oggetti o equipaggiato sul nostro personaggio per migliorarne le statistiche. A questo proposito, oltre ai classici punti vita, attacco e difesa, una voce di particolare importanza è rappresentata dalla "**stamina**", che rappresenta l'energia a nostra disposizione: esplorare i Dungeons comporta infatti un constante consumo di stamina, che viene ridotta ad ogni azione esplorativa che compiano. Una volta terminata la stamina non potremo continuare ad esplorare il Dungeons e dovremo aspettare che questa si rigeneri, oppure ricaricarla a mezzo di cibi e pozioni. Un altro aspetto di estrema rilevanza è l'inventario, dove vengono riposti tutti gli oggetti che troviamo: questo è infatti molto limitato e difficile da incrementare, costringendoci perciò a valutare con attenzione cosa raccogliere e cosa no e quando uscire da un Dangeon per andare a vendere un po' degli oggetti che abbiamo raccolto. Il cuore del gameplay consiste quindi nell'attento bilanciamento della nostra stamina e del nostro inventario, con l'obiettivo di riuscire a raccogliere il maggior numero di oggetto utili o di valore a fronte di un consumo di stamina il più ridotto possibile.

## I miei primi passi Io ho iniziato a giocare meno di una settimana fa e, anche se il gioco è molto semplice e sono presenti diverse immagini generate con l'AI di qualità non molto alta, devo dire che mi sto divertendo: la presenza di una economia ingame, in cui i giocatori possono vendere ed acquistare gli oggetti trovati nei Dungeons, ed un sistema di progressione, che tra livelli ed equipaggiamento presenta già una discreta profondità, porta facilmente a voler tentare un'altra esplorazione, alla ricerca di un oggetto prezioso da vendere o di uno di cui abbiamo bisogno per migliorare le nostre statistiche. ![](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/arc7icwolf/23tSb4EVAtk67WPH5dJxZZ7BbZpuCbNsgaTVuMP5accsnpyQ76ERThEJMQqorR6fwLpLb.JPG) Un ulteriore inventivo a controllare quotidianamente il gioco è fornito da dei "**daily bonus**" che è possibile ottenere una volta al giorno: questi consistono in una pozione che rigenera metà della nostra stamina e, per gli utenti Premium, in 100 DRUBBLE - il token del gioco - ed una ulteriore pozione che rigenera tutta la nostra stamina. Diventare un utente Premium richiede di spendere 2 dollari e l'abbonamento dura una settimana, da Domenica a Sabato: gli utenti Premium, oltre a ricevere gli oggetti bonus sopra indicati, possono anche riscattare i premi dei giorni precedenti, se si sono dimenticati di fare il login, ed ottengono inoltre a fine settimana un bonus settimanale maggiore. Infatti, gli utenti che riscattano quotidianamente i proprio bonus giornaliero e gli utenti Premium, che possono riscattarli quando voglio, purchè entro Sabato, ottengono 300 DRUBBLE e 3 punti VIP (che diventano 8 se si è utenti Premium). Sottoscrivere il Premium consente di ampliare il proprio inventario, ricevere una piccola rendita in DRUBBLE ed in più ottenere i premi extra giornalieri che ho descritto sopra: fra tutte le opzioni è quindi, secondo me, quella più conveniente e che può, all'inizio, fornire un utile vantaggio per crescere più velocemente degli altri giocatori. Io per ora ho sottoscritto la prima settimana di Premium e sto aspettando qualche giorno prima di rinnovarlo anche per questa seconda, così da riuscire entro la fine della settimana a raggiungere il primo livello della VIP Lounge.
