Hello, my dear fellow Praetorians. This time, for the #communituchallenge, I want to share with you my battle formation centered on a unit from the CA set for a negative effect of a battle rule.

--- --- --- ![image.png](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/freed99/23tbwHGyBbHdEqtyLjA85WdvChBS3XKGag52CWb38QJconf6QooiJCLu5Xna28ssEauDe.png) # Battle ![image.png](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/freed99/23tbwHGyBbHdEqtyLjA85WdvChBS3XKGag52CWb38QJconf6QooiJCLu5Xna28ssEauDe.png) ----

I have recently fought several battles where I have applied this formation, achieving victory. The objective of this formation is to eliminate the negative effects of certain battle rules; to do so, I use Jicarilla the Rime and her ability “Cleanse Rearguard.” ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmQJeuERQvdvSMnjZPfN55UFzch8Bs2entfGLk5VQCxUkT/image.png) I'll share three battles with you, where I use a formation that keeps Jicarilla the Rime safe while she cleanses the negative effects on the last unit and then the next one. ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmTnL81fmeEVhR3zyWi3cjTMPwKqn6ukjvcj7xeisGYwk7/image.png) [Link 1](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_32890fa9014338400f144da499d48a24?ref=freed99) ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmSs4kJfzNaKAEzkSTKax4xYG6KXSW35dow5Vwx1XXGgSp/image.png) [Link 2](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_a1803092b2a7b9cecfaefb7848a5b739?ref=freed99) ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmYJEyemycRukUgX48jSBkKPbuY896w7tLu85PWsgjBKtB/image.png) [Link 3](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_4cd20c266f5fedc3a29b8a857995236f?ref=freed99)
As a more detailed example, I will use the first battle where the “Burning” effect was applied. ---- Global Warming ---- ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmd5erCcQ8EqHjnKyjkYzLCQGu98eVjBdRPzxQwzbP3ZBQ/image.png) All units have the “Burning” status effect at the start of combat (at the start of round 2, it has a 33% chance of spreading to adjacent units). All affected units lose 2 health points. The “Burning” effect can be cleansed. ---

![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmTnL81fmeEVhR3zyWi3cjTMPwKqn6ukjvcj7xeisGYwk7/image.png) A battle where any element could be used allowed me to easily structure the formation that gave me the most confidence for this battle. I selected the water element summoner (archon) with the magic enhancer, seeking to give my magic units more power and defeat my opponent more quickly. |Name|Image| |------------|------------| | Marlai Singariel |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmabncDGUfmgziZSAMV9uirEm7fYXwK94dJz4mWCf7Zvs4/image.png)| | Shock Trooper | ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmVjavhvP3nkqGsXkptWvz1LMehBsV2o7T26fNGtEb1UmD/image.png)| | Abyssal Elemental | ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmU3gF9mcszJHG2F9x2yr9P4EjMZ4nuMEChnhyK36UmSVp/image.png)| | Jicarilla the Rime |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYpv3R1UnCVPPzAsgsEP6NfHk2CTPikXsKzRPMRjUt47R/image.png)| | Warborn Shaman |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmT1po5HbUbsWvq8WAm92iMjPEKTycbkBWFtCSV4eCBoM2/image.png)| | Mystic Scaleweaver |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmT7iZPQmrSF9X6XZckyZdrnjEv59iYD4YHdH883Eraazf/image.png)| | Zargrul |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmcvtXMSnJ4zGLn6kjz75EpexiZy6davoU3kvWUtKq8zHG/image.png)|
For this formation, I used units that would inflict a negative effect on the opponent or serve as a distraction. I decided to place these units in the last positions so that they would be cleared of negative effects first. The Shock Trooper unit in the first position would do a lot of damage at the start and would be defeated first so that the other units would not suffer its negative effect. Abyssal is a unit that works very well for me in that position because when it moves to the front and is defeated, it will respawn without negative effects; the negative effect of this is acceptable because it affects all other units on both sides. In the middle of this group is Jicarilla the Rime, ready to fulfill her role from there. ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmPWPGcUF7e37hB6sk79W8fmD2vfWV5KphydUpDV7bSavN/image.png) [Link 1](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_32890fa9014338400f144da499d48a24?ref=freed99) --- My opponent used the same summoner; however, he did not include any units that could clear his units; he mainly focused on attacking with melee and magic attacks. --- --- ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmV2UVuHpKbbFpWKQskG7URsgxBNAtQuyuxfXkVAX6S4Xf/burning_1.gif) The first round. We both used a unit that reduces speed. Shock Trooper weakened the opponent's first unit and was defeated by the attacks of the melee units, which I expected. Zargrul took most of the attacks until he was defeated. While those units were being defeated, mine took down the two melee units. --- ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmZ2itMSCCa4YVcVoxhq8N8txDeD22h43kMhdwWJ59Rxot/burning_2.gif) Second round. The Burning effect weakens all units. My opponent had a Shock Trooper in their formation that weakened their allies by one health point. My Abyssal Elemental was in first position and weakened by Burning; when defeated, it resurrected and the physical damage effect reduced its health by one point. Abyssal Elemental and Mystic Scaleweaver were weakened by the remaining attacks, but were not defeated. My opponent's units, receiving so many negative effects, allowed the next two to be defeated more quickly. --- ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmV4A2DL873ih82TvRVX3BkypUhm2kTWYLvHhc1dbFng6S/burning_3.gif) Third round. My opponent's units were eliminated by the Burning effect, giving me the victory. ---

In this battle, I wanted to show you a formation that balances attack and reduction of negative effects. Units like Shock Trooper are very powerful, but they come at a cost that must be considered before battle. That was one of my opponent's mistakes. Abyssal Elemental is a valuable unit for surviving negative effects and reducing the opponent. Jicarilla the Rime is a vital unit for these battles with rules like Global Warming or Noxious Fumes, because her ability doesn't focus on just one unit; she starts with the last one and moves forward each turn, clearing the units behind her.

![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmTnL81fmeEVhR3zyWi3cjTMPwKqn6ukjvcj7xeisGYwk7/image.png) [Link 1](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_32890fa9014338400f144da499d48a24?ref=freed99) ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmSs4kJfzNaKAEzkSTKax4xYG6KXSW35dow5Vwx1XXGgSp/image.png) [Link 2](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_a1803092b2a7b9cecfaefb7848a5b739?ref=freed99) ![](https://steemitimages.com/786x432/https://images.ecency.com/DQmYJEyemycRukUgX48jSBkKPbuY896w7tLu85PWsgjBKtB/image.png) [Link 3](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_4cd20c266f5fedc3a29b8a857995236f?ref=freed99)

|Nombre|Imagen| |------------|------------| | Marlai Singariel |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmabncDGUfmgziZSAMV9uirEm7fYXwK94dJz4mWCf7Zvs4/image.png)| | Shock Trooper | ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmVjavhvP3nkqGsXkptWvz1LMehBsV2o7T26fNGtEb1UmD/image.png)| | Abyssal Elemental | ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmU3gF9mcszJHG2F9x2yr9P4EjMZ4nuMEChnhyK36UmSVp/image.png)| | Jicarilla the Rime |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmYpv3R1UnCVPPzAsgsEP6NfHk2CTPikXsKzRPMRjUt47R/image.png)| | Warborn Shaman |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmT1po5HbUbsWvq8WAm92iMjPEKTycbkBWFtCSV4eCBoM2/image.png)| | Mystic Scaleweaver |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmT7iZPQmrSF9X6XZckyZdrnjEv59iYD4YHdH883Eraazf/image.png)| | Zargrul |![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmcvtXMSnJ4zGLn6kjz75EpexiZy6davoU3kvWUtKq8zHG/image.png)|
