Hello friends, hello Holozing community, what a joy to greet you today and return with a new fan art from this wonderful universe. I hope you are having a very nice day, full of happiness. It had been quite a while since I featured the beautiful Forest Healer as the protagonist in my fan art, so I thought this would be the right opportunity. For my fan art I was inspired by one of my favorite cartoon series, Adventure Tomes, specifically in the beautiful and sweet princess, her character design, and above all her hair. The challenge was to take it from pink to green for the Forest Healer. Today I want to show you this process, I hope you like it.

Hola amigos, hola comunidad de Holozing, qué alegría estar saludándolos hoy y regresar con un nuevo fan art de este maravilloso universo. Espero que estén teniendo un muy lindo día, lleno de alegrías. Hacía mucho rato que no tenía de protagonista en mis fanart a la bella Forest Healer, así que creí que esta sería la oportunidad correcta. Para mi fan art me inspiré en una de mis series de cartoon favoritas, Adventure Tomes, específicamente en la bella y dulce princesa, el diseño de su personaje y sobre todo su cabello. El reto fue llevarlo del rosa al verde de la Forest Healer. Hoy les quiero mostrar este proceso, espero que les guste.

I think the best way to show my drawing process is through a small animation in GIF format, starting from the sketch, going through the line art, and finishing with the coloring. I hope you enjoy this little animation, and see you later.

Creo que la mejor forma de mostrar mi proceso de dibujo es a través de una pequeña animación en formato GIF, desde el boceto, pasando por el line art y el coloreado. Espero que disfruten de esta pequeña animación y nos vemos más adelante.

We start with the sketch, trying to build a base structure inspired by the Adventure Times drawing style: a big head, small eyes, elongated rounded hands, rounded fingers, and a marked neck joined to the head. In addition, it will be based on the scientific facet of the sweet princess. With our base structure we can begin adding details little by little, trying to copy one by one the elements of the original design of Forest Healer, but in a more simplified way.

Comenzamos con el boceto, trataremos de hacer una estructura base basada en el estilo de dibujo de Adventure Times: una cabeza grande, ojos pequeños, manos alargadas y redondeadas, dedos redondeados, cuello marcado unido a la cabeza. Además estará basado en la faceta de científica de la dulce princesa. Con nuestra estructura base podemos comenzar con los detalles poco a poco, tratando de copiar uno a uno los elementos del diseño original de Forest Healer, pero más simplificados.

This is how the final sketch turned out. It is a bit loose, but the structure is clear, and the elements are present: the tiara of roots and leaves, the hair with loose strands, the necklace of rocks, the clover, her Healer outfit, and her braid. In addition, the flask with the substance that the Healer is investigating.

Así quedó el boceto final. Está algo regado, pero se entiende bien la estructura y están los elementos como la tiara de raíz y hojas, el cabello con mechones sueltos, el collar de rocas, el trébol, su ropa de Healer y su trenza. Además, el frasco con la sustancia que la Healer está investigando.

With the line art, I finished polishing some details of my sketch and removed all the lines that were not in the correct places. I also worked a little with the pressure of the brush to achieve some variation in the strokes of my character, giving it more personality and a unique trace, not so faithful to the Adventure Times drawing style, but rather a mix between their character design and my way of drawing. This will also give me more freedom to color in my own way so that it is not a super flat drawing.

Con el line art, terminé puliendo algunos detalles de mi boceto y quitando todas las líneas que no estaban en lugares correctos. Además trabajé un poco con la presión del pincel para lograr un poco de variación en el trazo de mi personaje y darle más personalidad, un trazo único y no tan fiel al estilo de dibujo de Adventure Times, sino una mezcla entre su diseño de personaje y mi forma de dibujar. Esto también me dará más libertad para colorear a mi manera y que no sea un dibujo superplano.

I started coloring the hair, which is the most characteristic element of our Forest Healer, with that green that makes her so unique, and with yellow highlights.

Comencé coloreando el pelo, que es el elemento más característico de nuestra Forest Healer, con ese verde que la hace tan única y sus iluminaciones en amarillo.

We continue with the skin, to which I added some details with small volumes and cheeks in a more pink tone.

Seguimos con la piel, a la que le di algunos detalles con pequeños volúmenes y las mejillas de un tono más rosa.

Well, little by little until we have the whole character colored, mysterious substance included. Now it simply remains to add a background so it does not look so flat, and a bit of noise to erase some imperfections and unwanted textures from the brush.

Bueno, así poco a poco hasta tener todo el personaje coloreado, sustancia misteriosa incluida. Ya simplemente queda agregarle un fondo para que no se vea tan plano y un poco de ruido para borrar algunas imperfecciones y texturas no deseadas del pincel.
