Instructions

1- Prepare the Cheese:

  • Cut the Kefalotyri cheese into a square, approximately 4x4 inches (10x10 cm) and about ½ inch (1.5 cm) thick.

2- Dipping:

  • Dip the cheese into a bowl of warm water, ensuring it is fully submerged.

3- Dredging:

  • Coat the cheese with all-purpose flour, optionally seasoned with pepper.
  • Press the flour in slightly to form a nice coating.

4- Second Dip:

  • Briefly dip the floured cheese back into the warm water.

5- Heating the Skillet:

  • Heat ¼ cup of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Ensure the oil is hot, nearing the smoking point.

6- Frying:

  • Carefully place the prepared cheese into the hot skillet.
  • Pan-fry until golden brown on one side, then flip and fry the other side until equally golden brown.

7- Serving:
