Anime Review ~ Child of Kamiari Month – A Silent Journey of Faith, Grief and Self-Discovery

Today I will share with you a quiet, emotional, and Japanese culture-filled anime movie Child of Kamiari Month This anime very tenderly brings together the emotions of Japanese folk beliefs, gods, and humans. It is a story where the pain of loss and the power of faith are shown together.

  Story Summary  

The main character of the story, Kanna Hayama, is a little girl who has been living with a deep emptiness inside herself since losing her mother. She loved to run, but after her mother's death, she lost that joy. Kanna's life became very quiet and lonely.

One day, Kanna suddenly learned that her mother actually had a special duty. She was a carrier of gifts to the gods. That duty now falls on Kanna. The gods' conference is held in Izumo, which is called the Kamiyari month when all the gods of Japan gather in one place.

Kanna sets off on a journey with two strange companions: a rabbit-shaped god, Shiro, and a fierce but kind demon, Yasha. On this long journey, Kanna faces many trials, struggles with her own fears and sorrows, and gradually finds her inner strength.

  My Review  

This anime is very easy to get to the heart of. It is not a fast-paced adventure but a slow emotional journey. Kanna's grief, her hesitations, and the gradual changes that occur seem very real.

The colors of the animation are very beautiful and the atmosphere is very peaceful. Japanese mythology and folk beliefs give the story a different flavor. Although the story does not explain everything in depth, its emotions and message are clear.

This anime teaches us that it is possible to move forward even in the midst of grief and that faith can sometimes become our source of strength. It's a calm, emotional and culturally based anime. I really liked it and I hope you will too.
