Hello beautiful people! I hope you're all doing great and if you're not, you will be soon! I'm going back to another sketch from a few months ago to paint it. This time it was a sketch of the light healer character I did about eight months ago, but I did it digitally and just left it in black and white, so I took it and added color.

Hola gente bonita! ¡Espero estén súper bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Vuelvo a rescatar otro boceto de hace unos cuantos meses para pintarlo. Esta vez fue un boceto del personaje de la sanadora de la luz que hice hace como ocho meses atrás, pero lo hice en digital y solo lo deje ahí en blanco y negro, así que lo tome y le di color.

This time it was super easy to structure or fix the sketch, since it was digital. All I did was copy and paste the messy sketch I had made and started improving it on a new canvas. I made a few changes and finished structuring it so it was ready to start adding color.

Esta vez fue super fácil estructurar o arreglar el boceto, ya que estaba en digital y lo que hice fue copiar y pegar el desastre de boceto que había hecho y lo comencé a mejorar en un nuevo lienzo. Le hice unos cuantos cambios y lo termine de estructurar para dejarlo listo para comenzar a agregarle el color.

Once I had the sketch ready, I began adding all the base colors. I started by adding the base color for the skin, then the clothing, and finally the gold on her crown and clothing. This left it ready for me to begin adding all the details.

Cuando tuve el boceto listo, lo que hice fue comenzar a agregar todo el color base. Comencé agregando el color base de la piel, luego el de la ropa y por ultimo el del oro en su corona y ropa. Dejándolo listo para comenzar a detallarlo todo.

I begin to detail the entire drawing with different brushes. In most of the work I do, I always use the same ones, which are watercolor brushes, paint mixers, and markers. This year, I decided to work in a slightly more simplified style, which basically means not detailing or blending as much, and I'm loving it.

Comienzo a detallar todo el dibujo con diferentes pinceles, en la gran mayoría de los trabajos que hago siempre usos los mismos, que son los de acuarela, mezcladores de pintura y marcadores. Este año me propuse trabajar un estilo un poco mas simplificado, que básicamente es no detallar o difuminar tanto y me esta encantando.

The only thing I blur is the skin; everything else remains unblurred and looks great, or at least I really like it. After spending a long time working on the details of the illustration and having it ready or finished, what I do is add a solid color background and some highlights, and that's it, folks, that's all there is to it.

Lo único que difumino como tal, es la piel, ya todo lo demás queda sin difuminar y luce tan bien o al menos a mi me gusta mucho. Después de haber estado un buen rato trabajando en los detalles de la ilustración y tenerla lista o finalizada, lo que hago es agregar un fondo unicolor y algunos brillos y listo amigos, eso seria todo.
