My Year 2025 in Review - Part 1

What a year it was, huh? Not so much for me, but in things like 'the news'.
Mind you, I don't really watch or listen to the news, because, well, it's usually not real news and a bunch a BS at that. But I won't bore you with the false flags and psyops of the past year...
There's a time and place for that. Not today. But I could write a book...LOL.

The first part of the year has neither been very eventful, nor exciting. It wasn't very boring either. Enough has happened, but more than some years before, it didn't always turn out the way I would have imagined it, or wanted it. I'm going to have to change that!

But let's get right into it. A little bit about my 2025...the first part, because all can't possibly be lumped into one post.

February 2025 - Anarchapulco

The plan was to go to Acapulco for Anarchapulco. My daughter and I were going to volunteer, which makes it cheaper, and she was also going to babysit two kids, for a family she babysat the year before too. We had to cancel about two weeks before the event.
I know the issue was finances, but I am not sure if I had similar issues with work as these past few months. I don't actually think so, because I remember the company throwing bonusses at us during the holidays. Either way, there was a good reason we didn't go.
I wasn't too bothered about it, but it would have been the last time in Acapulco, since this year (2026) will be elsewhere, and probably each year after this.

March - April 2025 - An unexpected Visitor and an expected One

Long story short: my eldest daughter was going to visit Thailand. Did that, stayed for 5 days, and something happened that made her want to leave. We all thought she'd go back to the Netherlands, but instead, she came here. We were just eating tacos near our house, when she walked around the corner: Surprise! It was lovely to have her, of course. However, I had planned to work extra because my sister was also visiting 2 weeks later, and I wanted to take some time off for that.
I did neither. Worked about a 1/4 of what I had planned while my daughter was here, and then kept working most days when my sister came. Again: I love having them here, but somehow, my family doesn't have the best timing. Also, having them here costs me more money than if I would take the kids on a holiday including the eldest. Ah well...I managed to recover a bit and make up for the lost hours (partly) after my sister left.

May - June 2025 - Back and Forth to the Immigration Office

May was uneventful, other than that I worked like crazy to make up for lost time, and to get the finances in order to get one of my kids their temporary residency.
She turned 17 in May, so she needed to get it done, since you can't do the family unit after their 18th birthday. It took me a little less than 2 years to get mine done, and another 2 for hers. After this, it would be the boys' turn.
Temporary residency here isn't cheap, even for kids. Altogether, it was around $1,000 for her. It's usually a little less, but this amount includes the agent or lawyer (who turned out not to be that great) and a fine for overstaying.
We finally had hers done in June after a few trips to the immigration office. Usually it's all done in one go, but this time there were issues in their office, so I had to go in to make an appointment first, then the week after that we had our first appointment for all the paperwork. Then a week later I had to go down to pay the second part of the fees and another week later, she had to have her picture taken and receive her card. Finally, that was done. Child numero Uno. Now the other two next. Sounds simple? Well, it isn't!

This was part 1. I thought I'd be able to do a short write up, but I guess I underestimated how much actually happened in the past year.

To be continued...
