Letting Go An Old Me For An Amazing 2026 - LOH #271

Compliments of the #newyear2026 quintaintial @ladiesofhive community. I trust you're doing great. It's a great privilege to come your way this week and year. Welcome to my blog.
Over the years when approaching a new year I usually have this feeling of inexplicable excitement for the new year, most people do too.😀 But this past year was different.

I just see the new year as a new day like every other day. I couldn't phantom why it was so, maybe to justify the saying that; “as you grow older you begin to lose excitement on certain things”, lol.
Moving forward, this 2026,; I'm releasing certain things that I considered hindrance to my personal growth, for a better year and better me. For something new to take place the old one has to be given up.
I've lived my life burying myself around my emotions, dwelling so long on the way people treated me, especially unpleasant ones. Wallowing in questions I have no answers to.
“Why did they act the way they did or say what they said?” Things that I cannot even change nor have control over. Allowing such, taking a better part of me is draining.
Allowing it means giving them a go ahead to continue control my feelings. That ended in 2025. To start on a clean slate for an amazing 2026, I'm letting go that old me.
