El invierno en Europa está en su apogeo y pocos deportes continúan brindando su espectáculo en un clima tan riguroso; el fútbol es uno de ellos y los torneos en el Viejo Continente están a pleno. Por eso es extraño que un club como el Real Madrid, considerado por muchos un ejemplo a seguir en todo el mundo, haya despedido a su entrenador en esta época.
Mi abuela diría que están cambiando el caballo a mitad del río, y eso generalmente conduce a desastres peores de los que se pretenden evitar.
Luego de perder el encuentro ante el clásico rival en la final de la Supercopa de España, la dirigencia, o mejor dicho Florentino Pérez como presidente y mandamás, despidió a Xavi Alonso de su cargo como entrenador principal, apenas 6 meses después de haber reemplazado a Ancelotti, inusual en esta institución y más aún cuando el que debe irse ha formado parte de la historia grande del club.
Según algunos diarios deportivos de España, los cortocircuitos entre el DT y Florentino han sido varios a lo largo de este breve período, Xavi quería que se renovara el contrato de Modric algo que no ocurrió, también había pedido a Zubimendi, la CD tampoco hizo grandes esfuerzos para conseguir al volante de la Real Sociedad que terminó firmando con en el Arsenal de Inglaterra. Por el contrario, trajeron a Mastantuono, un joven jugador argentino de buena trayectoria en River Plate, aunque sin experiencia internacional.Si bien es cierto que Alonso llamó a la joven estrella para convencerlo, no estaba originalmente en sus planes, de hecho, el argentino tuvo escasos minutos de juego, algo que no fue del agrado del jugador ni de Florentino Pérez, que desembolsó 60 millones de dólares para traerlo.
La dirigencia con Florentino a la cabeza, daba por cierto que con jugadores como Bellingham, Guler y Mastantuono, el mediocampo tenía suficiente categoría como para producir el buen juego que el Real Madrid requiere, sin embargo, Xavi Alonso insistió hasta el cansancio con Camavinga, Tchouameni y Valverde, mucho más rústicos si se quiere, algo que no se entendió ni fue del agrado de la CD.
Los roces del DT con Vinicius Jr. fueron evidentes y también los tuvo con Mbappé, de hecho, Xavi había pedido que los jugadores hicieran un pasillo de honor al Barcelona luego de la derrota en la Supercopa y Mbappé se opuso tratando además de convencer a sus compañeros de que no lo hicieran.
Para reafirmar los trascendidos, en la puerta del micro que los sacaría del estadio, el presidente Florentino Pérez abrazó efusivamente a Mbappé, Vinicius Jr. y Mastantuono, justamente los 3 jugadores más enfrentados al DT, al parecer, todo estaba definido.
Ahora viene otra polémica, en reemplazo de Alonso ha sido designado Álvaro Arbeloa. El periódico Marca, prestigioso medio deportivo español, ha realizado una encuesta con resultados concluyentes en la que participaron más de medio millón de votantes. El 79% considera una mala decisión reemplazar a Xavi Alonso en estos momentos, la gran mayoría piensa que Arbeloa no tiene el nivel ni la experiencia necesaria para dirigir al Real Madrid y más del 80% cree que no se ha elegido el mejor momento para realizar el cambio.
Las encuestas son solo números que no reflejan en nada lo que vaya a suceder en el futuro, sí son una fotografía de lo que piensa la gente en un determinado momento.
Pocos están de acuerdo con el cambio de caballo en mitad del río y sospechan que al menos una mojadura van a recibir, en el crudo invierno boreal eso puede ser muy desagradable.

Few agree with changing horses in the middle of the river and suspect that they will at least get wet; in the harsh northern winter, that can be very unpleasant.
