We woke up today to a radiant dawn which, as it is customary in this town, turned into a rainy morning a few hours later.

I needed a haircut before I start my teaching gig tomorrow. My wife asked me to accompany me since she too had to run some work-related errands.
She opted for the second teaching job I told you about in the previous post. She will be near where we live and the bus passes two blocks from the school.

Last year, a haircut at this barbershop (the cheapest I found in the area) cost the same $5. The problem is that after

, I went from paying about 300 Bs to 2,500!
In 15 days of 2026, the dollar has increased more than 10% on top of that.
I am ready to let my wife cut my hair.

In the meantime, the ínterim government continues spending people's money in mega shows in support of the arrested ex-president, closing entire avenues to accomodate their supporters. No idea how many will actually show up. Sadly, they still have their blind acolytes.

Regardless of what it is said in international settings, this still feels like the same store, minus some clerks. Same management, same services.
