3AM, 3DP, Snow, Calls, Watercolor, Garlic, Hike, Owl Hork, The Melt, Ambidextrous - Wednesday

As before, so today. My shitty body keeps popping me up at 3am, or there abouts. This morning is the same horse shit as the other mornings. The joy of joys it was barely below freezing then, on January 28th... WTF happened to our Winter?!

Parts for the shirt were done and ready to pull off the printer. Started a new print of carabiners.

The weather inbound for the morning.

These screwgate carabiners are actually rather strong! I was a bit surprised by how much I can weight them. I'll see if I can break one today amidst loading test. It IS just PLA so we will see if it can handle 50lbs or more.

THIS IS NOT WINTER! WTF!?

6am it began to snow and then was largely done 9am.

Just the dusting as I took the boys to school.

Being right on the edge of freezing it was a wetter snow which lead to a number of accidents in the region. One bad one north of Deer Park on the south side of the Loon Lake hump killed a young woman from Deer Park. It happened right by where a fire truck smashed into a vehicle about 5 years ago and killed some kids during a snow storm. This will be another cross added to that memorial...
At some point the 395 will be made 4 lanes the entire way through the state. It literally is a death road for it's entire length from Mexico to Canada.

The farm got a coating that gave to appearances of Winter, if even only for 6 or so hours.

They printed of nicely and I forgot to make the batch 100% infill so at 25% will be interesting to test. They are super handy though.

My days are odd as by 10 am I have been up for 6 hours already... Makes it feel like noon does to most people. I managed to get my daily #watercolor done. The prompt was for ladybugs, and I am only 3 days from having painted daily this month. For the first time in my life.
I was playing with the green for the stems of the flowers and learning. The right 2 really could nearly have been one. I'm finding it a bit tough to create depth in the small form of the cells but am still getting it to look okay for the landscape scenes. Everyday a more learning.

I made a bunch of calls in the morning. Got my foot appointment setup, have the fiber install scheduled for Saturday, have my business insurance paid and set to begin on the first, and refilled a script that is ready now and I will pickup today or tomorrow. Also got the dishwasher running.
The garlic rows got a nice coating of snow that was quickly melting away. I am super curious how they will be come the real warm-up in a month? 2?

Near 2pm I had to get out for daily exercise and with the snow didn't feel like a ride or run so I just took the dog on a hike/wander of the sheep pen.

He found ALL KINDS of good smells around the eagle's nest tree and their perching/preening trees.

Beneath one of their primary perching trees I found a number of owl hork pellets. THIS one had a claw just stuck to the outside of it. That owl may have scratched itself when that came out... Fairly fresh seeming too.

Nearby this pellet had some full bones encased... Possibly from the same owl and same prey. A bunch of older pellets were fallen apart in piles around the tree but none had bones like this one.

More fabric pieces printed. The shirt is slowly coming together and I am working on the neck and arms areas now.

I am rather ambidextrous throwing #darts. This one was killer. I've taken to toeing the oche square with both feet against it. First dart with right hand, second dart with left hand, third dart with right hand. The right dart in the 3x 19 was the right hand, the left dart was the left hand.
There is a thing where darts follow each other, the arm is keyed right and the repetition is correct. I am able to do that between arms. The left throw will follow the right armed throw. I switch arms to give one side a rest, which has lead to much better skill with both arms.

I triangulated the center. If only I had a 4th dart I bet it would have smashed the center bull...
Dinner was leftovers and R had wrestling practice. My bedtime is now in the 8pm range given this bullshit waking time I am living.

Been awake for a couple hours already and we look to get rain today which hopefully will melt the shitty ice on the driveway. Boys to school in a couple hours, will get a bike ride in when it's not raining, daily stuff to do, fighting with the printer and a shitty roll of filament, can work on truck now it is warmer temps outside, pick R up after STEM, come up with dinner, PDC Masters comes on mid day, and...
HOLY SHITBALLS is SILVER ON A TEAR!!!! $118/oz!?!? I am up 5x right now on my stack!!!!
