My Consistent And Intentional Journey Into The Analytical Space ( #273)

Hello, amazing #ladiesofhives, how are you doing today? It is a new week, and we have been prompted to ponder and respond with feedback on two topics shared by @joanstewart. I am happy to respond to prompt one. Welcome to my blog.

1️⃣ What advice would you share explaining how you equip yourself with knowledge and coping skills in an ever-changing world? Include the elderly or young who share your daily journey through a constant state of transition.
The world is becoming more circular than I thought. Ever-changing and dynamic. The current trend is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. When you look at most job adverts on job boards, one of the key competencies required is data analytics, the ability to work in a DEI (diversity, equality, and inclusion) environment, and the skills to thrive in a multilingual organisation.

The direct implication is that one must be digitally and analytically inclined to fit into organisations now. Furthermore, the inability of an individual seeking employment (whether full-time or part-time) to prove that they have those skills is already a challenge to becoming successful in the assessment.
Presently, I use online learning platforms for most of my training because of their flexibility, such as studying at my own pace. Secondly, I am enrolled in an in-house training to learn Power Bi and upgrade my Excel skills. This is because most remote work, contract, and freelance jobs always have those skills as a requirement.

However, I am not selfish with the knowledge I have acquired. I make it a responsibility to schedule employee engagement to train them on some of these skills. However, they are mostly interested in the short-term corners of making fast income and other adventures, which led us to invest in the media section where they are trained to cover the church's weekly services via digital camera.
I have also shared the hive blogging idea with some of our women folks, but unfortunately, it has not yielded good results. Rather, they developed an interest in skill acquisition, which was sponsored to enable them provide support for their family expenses.

Finally, the world has transitioned from Gen Z to Gen Meta and AI, while some people are crying over the wave of these events. A lot of people are taking advantage of the app and cashing out daily from the app. I am not left behind, though I haven’t gotten where I want to be technologically. But I am not where I used to be, and with an intentional and consistent journey, getting there is assured.
