Yoohoo! It's been a while. I'm making this post as an example for **Qurator's Hive Top Chef (HTC)** As y'all know I'm part of Qurator's team and sometimes I see many people struggling when it comes to food competitions. Participating in **HTC** is easy, every week @qurator will give an ingredient, all you have to do is to make something with that ingredient and take pics of the process. You don't need to be the most amazing chef of the planet or go make super complicated food. Just make something with the ingredient of the week and participate. Also write down the ingredients and procedure so people can know how to make it and can try it at home. ## Each week @qurator will pick the best 3 entries and give a nice vote as a reward. **Make sure you mention in your post that is an entry for `Qurator's Hive Top Chef` and to use qurator as one of your tags.** This week's ingredient is **RICE**. We all have rice in our homes, right? It doesn't matter what type or brand of rice you use, it doesn't matter what type of recipe: desserts, soups, drinks, appetizers... it can be anything, just make sure you use the ingredient of the week. # I'M MAKING THIS POST/ RECIPE AS AN EXAMPLE. Cut all the things you gonna throw inside that rice. I totally forgot to buy cabbage and at some point contemplated to add asparagus but didn't wanted to complicate myself. ---

I always use rice leftovers cause in my opinion it makes the fried rice taste better but you can make rice right away and do the whole thing the same day. ---

This is one my favorite olive oil brands and I couldn't find the soy sauce I like thanks to covid lockdown. I always buy the "low sodium" sauce cause it have too much sodium and that's why I never add salt to my fried rice. ---

First I made the egg scramble, I just used 1 egg cause that's more than enough, you can use more if you want! ---

Then I sauteed the veggies and the ham with a bit of olive oil. Once the onions looks kind of transparent then I know they're ready for next step. I do this to give a "sweet" touch to the rice. ---

Add the egg scramble and mix it with the veggies. ---

Then add the white rice and mix all good before adding the sauce to make sure all flavors of the veggies gets inside the rice. ---

Then add the soy sauce and mix well. Don't put too much sauce or it will taste like crap! --- **There you go, fried rice!
