Hello Summoners, I'm sure that over the past few days, as you've been reaping the rewards of your victories, you, like me, have been visiting Gwen's shop in search of new Reward Cards. Now, with this challenge, we have the opportunity to share with everyone which of these new monsters and abilities have become our favourites and are now part of our strategies.

**DEMONS & DRAGONS** **Night Reaper** is an epic monster by [lore](https://next.splinterlands.com/card-detail/695/regular/13?tab=lore), an unpredictable and brutal evil creature. A curious hybrid of demon and dragon that immediately catches our attention not only for its alien appearance but also for its high mana cost, let's take a look at its characteristics in the different levels to see what it has to offer.

- The **Night Reaper** at level 1 has 1 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 0 Armour and 9 Health. Starts with the **Flying** ability (Increases the chance to dodge melee or ranged attacks from monsters that do not have the Flying ability) and **Windbreaker** (Always targets enemy units with Flight first, regardless of abilities or rules. +2 damage if the target has Flight) - At **level 2** gains 1 Armor. - At **level 3** gains an additional point of Health for a total of 10 and a 3rd ability **Reflection Shield** (this Monster doesn't take damage from Blast, Magic Reflect, Thorns, or Return fire) - At **level 4** gains an additional point in Armor for a total of 2. - At **level 5** gains an additional Magic Attack point for a total of 4. - Finally, maxed out at **level 6** has 4 Magic Attack, 4 Speed, 2 Armor and 10 Health. also gains his 4th and final ability **Last Stand** (gains increased stats if he is the only Monster on the team alive).

**CUT THE WINGS** One of four new abilities in the Rebellion Reward Cards, Wingbreak transforms the 1st level Night Reaper into a true Bird of Prey that can disrupt your opponents' plans, ignoring the rules and destroying their monsters with the ability to fly.
Let's discover its full potential when flying is the key to victory.

![image.png][SEPARADOR] **The rulesets for this battle** --- ![image.png][CAMPO] --- **Earthquake: All non-flying units take 2 physical damage at the end of every turn.** **47 MANA** **Splinter available : Water, Earth, Life, Death & Dragon** ![image.png][SEPARADOR] **Strategy and battle lineup** Earthquake, the rule for this battle, provides continuous damage to all monsters, although it can easily be avoided with flying or armour. Time and attrition will be key in this battle, so our units taking the punishment will be monsters with Martyr or Provocation abilities to distract the opponent and protect their allies.

**QUIX THE DEVIOUS**

This rogue is a legendary dragon summoner. Its cost is only 4, and it reduces the ranged attack and speed of our opponent's monsters, so it's easy to take advantage if you can attack first, or it's harder for them to dodge your blows.

**TERRACEOUS HULK** A magical creation of stone and wood, animated by wizards, these golems are excellent guardians. It is a legendary earth monster that at level 1 has 4 melee attack, 1 speed, 6 armour, 9 health and starts with the abilities **Taunt** (forcing enemy monsters to target it) and **Void Armour** (magical attacks hit the armour of this monster before its health), it occupies the first position with the intention of delaying and deflecting our opponent's attacks, giving time to its allies and for the earthquake to finish clearing the entire battlefield.

**REGAL PERYTON**

This Rare Monster comes second and can be our tank. At level 2, it has 1 Magic Attack, 6 Speed, 6 Health and the **Flying** ability, which will prevent this guardian of the natural world from taking damage from the earthquake. His speed will also allow him to dodge enemy attacks when the time comes.

**VENARI MARKSRAT**

This rare level 2 monster has 1 Ranged Attack, 1 Speed and 3 Health, giving it only a few turns under the rules of this battle before it dies from earthquake damage, activating its **Martyr** ability and increasing the stats of its allies.

**VOID DRAGON**

This level 1 legendary monster has 1 Magic Attack Point, 5 Speed, 7 Health, and the **Flying** and **Void** abilities that give this dragon its name. Its magic damage reduction makes it a fairly resilient monster, and it sits in the middle of the lineup surrounded by allies with Martyr's ability to boost its characteristics.

**FUNGUS FLINGER**

The golden version of this monster is a little tougher, with 4 Health, which seems to be a disadvantage when its main ability is **Martyr** (when this monster dies, adjacent monsters get +1 to all stats). However, in this battle, it's easy for Earthquake to finish him off before the opponent does. The plan is still for it to buff up its allies.

**NIGHT REAPER**

Our team is completed by the Reaper, one of the first epic cards of this new set, recently added to my collection and the protagonist of this article. It is a monster that seems destined to dominate the air, concentrating on eliminating our opponent's flying units on the battlefield, which seems too circumstantial, but perfect for rules like **Earthquake**, where we are sure that our opponent will surely use some unit with the ability to fly.

Un curioso híbrido de demonio y dragón que llama inmediatamente nuestra atención no solo por su aspecto alienígena, sino también por su elevado coste de maná. **QUIX THE DEVIOUS**

Este pícaro es un invocador Dragón legendario. Su coste es de sólo 4, y reduce el ataque a distancia y la velocidad de los monstruos de nuestro oponente, por lo que es fácil tomar ventaja si puedes atacar primero, o es más difícil esquivar tus golpes.

**TERRACEOUS HULK** Una creación mágica de piedra y madera, animada por magos, estos gólems son excelentes guardianes. Es un monstruo de tierra legendario que a nivel 1 tiene 4 de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, 1 de velocidad, 6 de armadura, 9 de salud y comienza con las habilidades **Taunt** ( forzando a los monstruos enemigos a hacerlo objetivo) y **Void Armour** (los ataques mágicos golpean la armadura de este monstruo antes que su salud), ocupa la primera posición con la intención de retrasar y desviar los ataques de nuestro oponente, dando tiempo a sus aliados y a que el terremoto termine de limpiar todo el campo de batalla.

**REGAL PERYTON**

Este Monstruo Raro ocupa la segunda posición y puede llegar a ser nuestro tanque. A nivel 2, tiene 1 Ataque Mágico, 6 Velocidad, 6 Vida y la habilidad **Flying**, que evitará que este guardián del mundo natural reciba daño del terremoto. Su velocidad también le dará la posibilidad de esquivar los ataques enemigos cuando llegue el momento.

**VENARI MARKSRAT**

Este monstruo raro a nivel 2 tiene 1 Ataque a Distancia, 1 Velocidad y 3 Vida, lo que le da sólo unos pocos turnos bajo las reglas de esta batalla antes de morir por daño del terremoto, activando su habilidad **Martyr** y aumentando las estadísticas de sus aliados.

**VOID DRAGON**

Este monstruo legendario a nivel 1 tiene 1 Punto de Ataque Mágico, 5 de Velocidad, 7 de Vida y las habilidades Flying y Void que da nombre a este dragón. Su reducción de daño mágico lo convierte en un monstruo bastante resistente, y ocupa el centro de la alineación rodeado de aliados con la habilidad de Martyr para potenciar sus características.

**FUNGUS FLINGER**

La versión dorada de este monstruo es un poco más resistente, con 4 de Salud, lo que parece una desventaja cuando su habilidad principal es **Martyr** (cuando este monstruo muere, los monstruos adyacentes obtienen +1 a todas las estadísticas). Sin embargo, en esta batalla, es fácil que Terremoto acabe con él antes que el oponente. El plan sigue siendo que potencie a sus aliados.

**NIGHT REAPER**

Nuestro equipo se completa con el Segador, una de las primeras cartas épicas de esta nuevo set, recientemente añadida a mi colección y protagonista de este post. Se trata de un monstruo que parece destinado a dominar el aire, concentrándose en eliminar las unidades voladoras de nuestro oponente en el campo de batalla, lo que parece demasiado circunstancial, pero perfecto para reglas como **Earthquake**, donde estamos seguros de que nuestro oponente utilizará alguna unidad con la habilidad de volar.
