Saludos queridos amantes de la costura, espero se encuentren de maravilla y estén teniendo una excelente semana. Ya casi se acaba está semana pero aquí seguimos trabajando, estos días he estado probando con algunas telas de rib que tenía por ahí algunos modelos de pijamas y prendas sencillas especialmente para mí pequeña Sheyla que tenía rato pidiendo me que le hiciera algo con la tela de gatitos que tanto le gustó y hoy por fin me puse a trabajar en ello, está tela es un rib estampado y lo compré en diciembre pero no había tenido chance de hacer algo así que se me ocurrió hacer una pijama pero estoy buscando modelos diferentes para practicar y aprender nuevas técnicas, es este caso quise hacer el short con un modelo sencillo pero con el plus del fruncido en las orillas, así que acompañame a ver el proceso.

Greetings dear sewing lovers, I hope you are feeling wonderful and are having a great start of the week. This week is almost over, but we're still working here. These past few days, I've been experimenting with some rib fabric I had lying around, trying out some pajama patterns and simple garments, especially for my little Sheyla, who had been asking me for a while to make her something with the kitten fabric she liked so much. Today, I finally got down to work on it. This fabric is a printed ribbing that I bought in December, but I hadn't had a chance to make anything with it, so I decided to make pajamas. However, I'm looking for different patterns to practice and learn new techniques. In this case, I wanted to make the shorts with a simple pattern but with the added bonus of gathering at the edges, so, come with me to see the process.

Paso a paso || Step to step

Lo primero fué extender la tela doble para cortar las dos piezas del short, usé un short con la talla deseada y primero coloqué el lado del tiro trasero y corté este costado dejando espacio para cortar el otro lado, luego corté el siguiente tiro asegurándome en dejar el margen de costura.

The first step was to spread out the double fabric to cut the two pieces of the shorts. I used a pair of shorts in the desired size and first placed the back crotch side and cut this side, leaving space to cut the other side. Then I cut the next crotch, making sure to leave a seam allowance.

Para coser es bastante sencillo, primero coloqué las dos piezas enfrentando sus derechos y cosí los los tiros con costura recta y zigzag, y luego uní la entrepierna también, para la orillas de las piernas hice la técnica de costura con la puntada de ojal en todo el borde estirando la tela para que quedé un efecto de fruncido, para la pretina usé una elástica de un dedo de ancho y cosí con zigzag luego doble hacia adentro y pasé dos costuras rectas sobre la pretina y por último para diferenciar el frente coloqué un lindo lazo rojo que quedó hermoso. Sewing it is quite simple. First, I placed the two pieces right sides together and sewed the legs with a straight stitch and zigzag stitch, then I joined the crotch as well. For the edges of the legs, I used the buttonhole stitch technique along the entire edge, stretching the fabric to create a gathered effect. For the waistband, I used a one-finger-wide elastic band and sewed it with a zigzag stitch. Then I folded it inward and sewed two straight seams over the waistband.
