Major highlights so far...

The year is slowly coming to an end, I felt like it was just yesterday when we were screaming "Happy New Year to one another and jubilating" and here we are at the first half of the year. A few days back I was having a conversation with my friends and we were discussing the year how it started and how far it has come.

At some point, we thought we couldn't survive it because of the economic condition of our nation but here we are striving, working every day trying to make ends meet. I'm thankful for this topic cause I get to reminisce back and count my blessings.

Major highlight: Before the year began one of my goals was to be consistent on hive, I didn't know how I wanted to do it but all I needed was to be consistent, at a certain point I experienced writer's block, felt like my brain wasn't working anymore, often I would sit with my laptop and be thinking of what to write then if I'm unable to come up with something I'd just watch movies instead.

When my cousin first introduced me to the platform he advised I make friends on the platform, friends that would boost my consistency, then I sat down and thought about it, how do I make friends on a platform like this, I thought it was impossible and besides I'm not that friendly and I hardly approach people so how do I go out about it, luckily people were watching me as well, so long story short.

I finally met someone on the blockchain I know you wanna say "awnnn" but please don't say it, someone who introduced me to other communities on the blockchain, joined the communities discord channel, and became a part of their hangouts, I also started participating in their weekly prompt, after that day my level of consistency and engagement in the platform grew, I gained more followers and that's a plus which I'm grateful for. I'm not gonna say I'm fully consistent on the platform but I think I am consistent to an extent.

Another major highlight I became a part of the newbie's initiative and thats a great achievement for me cause I got to learn more things about the platform, how it works, and the kind of things to engage in if I wanna grow on the platform, I love learning new things, the fact that I'm learning new things in this initiative makes me count it as another blessing.

The fun part: They say time flies when we are having fun, and having fun is everything despite what the economy is throwing at us, with the way things are in my nation if you are having fun people tend to look at you as being wealthy, having fun is one of the ways we unwind and rewind to clear our heads off every other thing and focus on ourselves, relax, and flow with the present moments, last six months I've been able to visit few places, I went to a shopping mall recently with a friend.

Two months back I went to a show hosted by a deejay, I must say I had the best fun ever though I could not stay long cause I had work the next day, with the few minutes I spent there, every bit of it was worth the time, I even saw one of the Nigerian popular skit makers ehn I won't say his name hehe!! "though I didn't approach him and scream my life out" cause I respected my steeze, I look forward to the second half of the year and what it holds.
