This past month, several things have happened with my four-legged babies. First, my sister suggested we get ID tags for the dogs, since they didn't have any and we were all excited about it. These tags would include their photo, name, address, and the owner's cell phone number. She would pay for Hercules's tag, and I would pay for the other two. In total, it was $15, $5 for each tag, and I loved how they turned out. I attached them to a ring, but I had a problem attaching them to the rings on their collars because they were quite thick. So, I came up with the idea of ​​taking a thick piece of fabric and sewing both rings together. It didn't look very nice, but it was better than nothing, and they wanted their little tags.

So, I took Hercules to his annual checkup at the vet, since he's an older dog and needs much more frequent checkups than usual. However, I had to pay extra for the appointment because he pooped, even though he had a plastic barrier. It went a little to one side, but oh well, what can you do? He's an old dog with his share of problems. I just mentioned to the doctor that it would be difficult for me to take him back, and that I would pay for an appointment later to see if I could come by for a bit.

He already had some bald patches, but they weren't large or anything alarming. The doctor had already prescribed treatment for them. However, the following week, the bald patches became more pronounced, and they were even red and porous. I told the doctor, and he told me to give him prednisone for five days, every 12 hours, along with a healing and antifungal cream. Although it was better to take him in, the doctor knew what had happened before and prescribed it for me to take home. The next day I went to the agricultural supply store, asked for the cream, and wow, it was quite expensive, $10 for a small size, but what could I do? I had to buy it for my baby's health.

Even so, I'm surprised at how effective and wonderful this cream is. After just two applications, his fur was no longer red and porous, and new hair is already growing in. Oh, and another thing she prescribed was Nexgard, which was definitely due, and with my aunt and her cats having fleas, I had to buy it for all three of them. Luckily, I had emergency money for them, and what the heck, I'll gradually recover from that emergency, because that pill is expensive. 😭
