(w40k) Da Big Reinforcement! My HUGE 3d printed minis collection came in!

Yesterday my HUGE 3d printed Ork miniatures order came in from Etsy and I've had a ball sorting through it. What are the good, bad, and ugly facts of 3d printed miniatures vs their more expensive injection molded cousins? I sure hope this want a giant waste of time and money!
As mentioned in previous posts I've recently discovered the Station Forge Orkaz line and love how they look. This was enough to prompt me to spring on a $200+ order to fill out about a third of the Ork army I am building.

This order was nearly one of each of the prints available in the Orkaz line. For each set I skipped there was another I bought doubles of.
I took a pretty major risk here. If the quality is low, the sizing off, or any other major problems show up my army is in danger of not being ready for the start of our Casual Crusade next month.
Let's take a look in the box:

This is the kind of packing job you really want to see.
With over a dozen stores on etsy all printing the same Station Forge line I spent a while figuring out who was the right seller for me. In the end I went with one who had nearly everything I needed, communicated well, and had shipping that worked for me. Really glad to see this level of packing.
Once I unboxed and unwrapped the models they looked like this:

*Lots of supports here. This is unexpected and, with so many models ordered, worrisome. *
They photography in my articles has been trash so I've decided to start taking my photos outside when possible for better lighting. I also pulled the trigger on a light box that should arrive this week.
So, I was supprised to see all the supports still attached to these minis but also felt like a kid on Christmas morning and got to work! Within a few hours I had everything taking from the supports, bagged up, and organized. There were a few minor issues here.

print errors.
First, one of my minis seems to have has some printing issues. The steering wheel on this mechs crotch is melted and it's leg peg (that want's to be a circle) is shaped like a squished heart. This is likely going to keep this mini from coming together successfully so I thanked the seller for the great order and requested a replacement of this single piece.
While removing my miniatures from their supports I found that the smaller the pieces involved the more difficult this was to do without breakage. As I had ordered 3+ regements of goblins this meant a lot of trouble and more than a few broken lads.

Medic! Or uhhhh ... PAINBOYY!!
All things considered this is no major problem but is information I'm very glad to have before making other orders like this. All and all I would feel comfortable ordering more of these minis in the future, will likely do so, and when I do they will be through this same seller. Score!
I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get this all built and ready for the tabletop but again, feel like a kid on christmas morning. I even got myself a new piece of gear as my old nippers had become warped and dull after only a month of use. Thank Gork for Amazons generious return policy!

Apparently this is the best nipper tech out there. Straight from the GUNPLA bros in Japan and, with a nem like GODHAND, I expect good things!
That's all for today! I look forward to writing back soon when I have more to share. Cheers and please stay safe out there, friends!
