Vicus Caprarius portal to another world in Rome, Italy
Hello dear explorers
I like very much to visit those places that have an air of mystery, that's what we are going to do and today we are going to visit together a city under the city, in a way if I analyze a little the history of Rome it is not surprising that there is something like that here.
How did I discover this place?
I was extremely happy that I arrived to visit an important sight in Rome, namely the Trevi Fountain, after exploring this place for a while we retreated to the adjacent streets to explore a bit of local life, so we discovered yet another gelateria selling the most delicious ice cream.
Walking the narrow streets we discovered their beauty, with small but refined local restaurants, we even had a choice of souvenirs or gifts for our loved ones.
I've eaten these two types of ice cream many times, so you'll keep seeing them in my posts😉
At one point at a street corner we saw a sign indicating the direction to an archaeological site, we immediately decided to go in that direction to see what it is about, in less than ten minutes we were already in front of the door that we must pass to get inside.
Here we met two very nice employees who explained us how to visit this place.
And yes, now I give you an advice to enter their official website and before visiting this place to make an appointment with the date and time when you want to visit.
We didn't have an appointment, but the girls at the entrance were very nice and helped us with the appointment, I mean we had to walk around for about 30 minutes.
Another tip is that the places available here are limited, so on weekends I advise you to make an appointment and come here early.
Visiting hours are from Tuesday to Sunday between 11-5 and the cost of a ticket is 4 euro/person.
All right, let's discover this place inside.
To get to the town below we had to go down a few stairs, also here you will find some tables and chairs where you can take a break before or after you have finished visiting this place.
Wow just after the first steps we saw the ruins of the city under the city, if you have the curiosity to find out more information about this place you will find many panels with important information.
Our visit here lasted about an hour, so I hope I've piqued your curiosity to visit this place to discover and take more photos than I did.
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached pictures you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone, and the text is also designed by me.
Yours @triplug😉
