Colors, textures and history…

Second day in the Medina of Fez.
Today we decided to join a tour group and take a guided tour.
It was a great choice; it cost us about €10 per person, and we were able to visit the city's most secret places in a very safe way.
The tour lasted three hours and was well worth it, as the guide explained many things about the city's history, architecture, customs, and Berber culture in general.
I really love history, and if someone explains it to you while you walk and discover interesting things, then it's even better.
Also, today the Medina was bustling with merchants. I had no idea Fridays were a holiday for the Arabs, and yesterday that was exactly what happened.
A multitude of colors and smells everywhere, everything was super beautiful, and the people were generally very friendly, better than expected.
I felt very safe, and I can tell you that we ventured into some pretty strange and special places.
I'm writing these lines while I wait for a Moroccan massage that many people have recommended, then a swim in the pool and back to dinner.
Traveling is so good! Enjoy it while it lasts...
