Visiting The Forest Park In Barangay Punta Silum, Manticao Misamis Oriental

A blessed morning to all of us adventurers, we all love to wander in beautiful places, especially my places where we can enjoy relaxing and quiet areas. For this blog travel of mine, we will go to the beautiful and paradisiacal place in Barangay Punta Silum located in Manticao, Misamis Oriental. Many people come to this place to observe the beautiful and towering trees that provide beauty and relaxation. Barangay Punta silum has a unique place that people call Forest park because the trees that grew in the area are preserved. There are many different types of wild animals and wild plants, which also grow in the area.

Barangay Punta Silum can be found in Manticao, Misamis Oriental and this area serves as a boundary between two Municipalities, The Manticao and Lugait. This Barangay is close to the beach but there are parts of the area that are high such as cliffs and hills. When in Barangay Poblacion, it is necessary to travel for a few minutes depending on the traffic on the road. It is close to the National road but the Forest park I call it is a bit far from the road and it is necessary to walk a few meters.

One of the beautiful and towering establishments is this cell phone network tower. A great contribution has been given to people such as a strong cell phone signal and its structure is made of metal objects and includes a strong and durable cable so that the tower does not fall easily.

Its walls are made of concrete materials to be more durable and not change as quickly as the wind. It is also surrounded by lights and electric poles for such a cellphone tower to work. In it, generators and guard houses are placed to keep working even if there is a power outage.There are fences made of metal to prevent non-personnel from entering the tower except for staffs and guards.

Near the tower there is an old tree that I will call Sinigwelas. This tree has been around for a long time but it's still full of fruit, this tree is beautiful because it gives shade to my resting place and it's one of the perfect places. This tree has been growing here for a long time and according to the elders, it is almost 70 years old. Other people call this tree Passion fruits. And sweet is the fruit from this tree that children love.

There are beautiful wild flowers such as these that grow under a large sinigwelas tree. This flower has a bright color such as red with small yellow spots in the middle of the flowers. This flower is very attractive and it only grows in shady and cool places.

In continuation of my travel blog for today, I also went to different types of trees like this. This is the Molave ​​kong tree where it grows for many years and it grows because of its branches. Good for use in constructions such as walls, house foundations and furniture and flooring. Many birds perch on the branches and others build nests. Some of the trees have already lost their leaves due to the extreme heat experienced here in the area. But this is normal and the leaves will grow when it rains.

This is Germilina wood, which is good for making fruit boxes and door and window jams. This tree grows quickly depending on the area and it is also a good fuel especially its dry branches. It produces round fruits. These trees are tall and many different types of animals live in this area.

Some of the trees that can be seen and grow here are called Kaymeto. It bears sweet fruits and lives for many seasons. Its branches break easily so it is very dangerous to climb this tree. It is also good for firewood, but because it is a forest park, it remains to grow here in the area. The fruits of this tree can be sold in Public areas.

There are a few coconut trees that can be seen here and it is also surrounded by many trees around. This is the main livelihood of some people here in Barangay Punta Silum and some of them are already fed up with the fruits. This place is a good place to visit because of the huge and towering trees, the place is peaceful and cool as well as the peaceful and relaxing areas.
