Well Yes it is possible, it has also been done. The best part is. It was done with no buy in cost and still paid out rewards. Essentially FREE 2 PLAY.

Free 2 Play games are great. Even cooler when it is poker. I have tried over the past years to get involved in developing the ability of the site to fund itself. My input is not required, feels like. So I will stop trying to get involved. Stop saying the things I think might make things better or run smoother. So I will write my opinion here of how it might be easier and then remain silent on poker matters.

Poker sites generally ask for deposits proof of ID and address. Lucksacks.com requires a Hive account.

I have no issues with anyone that has run the site, Except, not enough games play for me lol. Over the last few years (5) I have enjoyed and got frustrated (GRRRR! at Snook) over many hours of playing poker. Without all the previous workers on site. The game would never have been there for me to know about. Kudos to the Lucksacks Crew.

I probably do not understand the current system with the use of Luck chips to comment in any debt on the current system. It relies too much on sponsored games. Sponsorship of games is hard to gain when the active membership is small. Only 6 regular players.

Now I do not want to run a poker site. I just want somewhere with regular games. I feel the site should be able to cover the costs of existence and provide for some games on its own, no external support.

Covering the costs anything might impose on the game. Well, I have no bloody clue. I do not know what the total costs are for running a poker site. That is what I would like to see developed though. The site or theory of poker on Hive. Have it cover its own costs through various methods. This all has to be done with an initial investment from somewhere.

I also think the site should be able to pay someone to write posts. Anyone who works behind the scenes should also get some reward. Pay someone might be the wrong term. But a compensation in some manner. Depending on the level of writing and consistency, an amount of SBI could be set aside. This would also aide in growing the Lucksacks.com account.

Lets be realistic. The target audience is anyone who wants to get a free buck. It is a free to play site. Over at SWC poker they play for 10 uBTC on the freeroll. What's that like half a HIVE?

Lucksacks tournaments have no rake providing funding. This funding should be found from other resources and systems available.

It might be better to change the reward from HIVE to HBD.

Game donations and player possible rewards should be held in a separate account to the Lucksacks.com. Game donation ultimately end as player reward.

The main account becomes the generator for games. This can be done in a controlled manner through a filter system to give an advantage toward growth.

So how I see this works.
Zero all accounts.

Delegation request. Delegation to become self sufficient. This delegation would go to a sub account. This would be considered a support account and ensure a certain vote to a post about poker (and other games). Lucksacks voting to other games also at a lower % is advertisement.

The curating reward from this account will grow the account to a level to remove delegation and let it run solo, from accumulated curating reward. Over time reducing the needs for delegation.
The higher amount of delegation at the start, sooner the site stands alone.
Costs of running to cover servers or other internet related costs. Unknown, never a ball park number thrown out.
Rewards for posting can be done with SBI for x agreed amount of posts on poker through the main account.

Main account. Is like the engine. Use of SBI for tournaments or as rewards for posting about Lucksacks poke or Lucksacks games. This can be done by % of rewards from posts. Remember, these rewards would also be used for funding future games.

Support account, the lubricant. This provides the initial start and grows itself so delegations can be removed. The goal here is just to ensure a few dollars to a post in liquid if we can.
Suggest discussion on this. The limit of HP placed on the support account. This account should have a minimum and maximum limit in my opinion.

Main account starts with zero.
Support account has delegation.

Support account can delegate resource credits to the main.

Once rewards begin to come in then there is something the game can host. Liquid rewards are used for SBI should that road be taken. If not solely for the funding of games. The HP that grows in the main account can be used for the beginning of Leagues. This could be used to host specials. Fund the bigger prize games.

A % of the HBD reward can be put to savings each time to provide for other type games. Maybe used to fund Merch games.

Once established. The introduction of games for merch should also be looked at.

But then it is very easy to sit here and say what I think might work. Maybe all of this has been tried. I just think the focus should be more on being able to provide the support needed, oneself. Works better.
