Ethnical and Tribe Clothes Design During Our Tribe Week Celebrations

Mindanao State University in Naawan Campus also celebrates Native Week and as part of that, we conducted a fashion show wearing Native attires. Each Schools Department have the representatives to show their talents and costumes im front of people. As part of the organizers, we set the preparations for 6 days only. The Schools Department agreed about the representatives and they also said that they are supporting this school activities.

There many kinds of Ethnic or tribe people located here in Mindanao, in fact we have a classmate before that belongs to tribe T'buli. Searching tribe clothes is not easy, the clothes and design should be similar including the accessories and acts of the ancient people.

This are my classmates or should we say the teams I have, they help setting up the decorations, the slide show presentation, music editing and researching some important Datas or information regarding with the tribe they want to reinact or show. In short we are part of the committee on the school activities.

As it finally arrives the school fashion show activities, there are lots of people and visitors and mostly The Parents and Guardians of the representative students. Ladies and gentle men, the Candidates of Tribe Week Celebration.

For Information Technology Department:

Wearing an artificial crown with white robe with long pants and polo coated with ethnical designs.

Schools of Marine and Fisheries Department:

Wearing a red scarf like and tied on his head. Bringing spears and shields just like a hunting or a warrior guy.

Marketing Department:

Wearing a red bottle gear suits with holding a spears. There are lots of decorations on its shields and and also to his bottle suits.

Social Science Department:

Wearing red long crown and spears. Wearing a red bottle suits and Necklace made of sea shells.

CPC ( College Preparatory Course Department):

Wearing stripes red suits with bow and wearing necklace out of designed native clothes.

During the Fashion Show:

There are also women who joined the fashion show and their costumes are very unique also. The designs are properly and carefully followed on the real designs we searched in the internet. As part of that, we also selected those students who qualifieds in their heights.

The suits are designed based on the details we searched for, and we are very happy and proud that there are lots of students who participated the fashion show. The Student body council also supported for our activities and as for them, they will give a good and memorable scenes to our ancestors.
