Hive Goals Update for the end of May 2024!

What an interesting week in the world of crypto and finance. The SEC seems to have reversed course on their disdain for Ethereum, that was huge news! It opens up the possibility of other coins soon to follow. It seems the overall markets are beginning to accept cryptocurrency for what it is, the future.

Since it is Saturday I will be doing my Saturday Savers post today. I started to participate in the program mainly to help me keep track of where I am in achieving my goals here on Hive. I've found it makes me more cognizant of where I am that I might have otherwise just overlooked. And to be honest prior to starting I really didn't have any set goals, so it's a push in the right direction.

So lets' get started with Hive Power...

Hive Power

This year I have the goal to achieve 5K Hive Power as organically as possible. If I can do it anyone can! Last week's weeks post I was at 3,114 HP and at the moment I'm at 3,218, a net increase of 114, not too shabby. If I can keep this up I may make it after all. I do have to disclose I did have one post that did great which helped me make it a great week. You can see it on the chart:

PIMP

This is my secondary goal. I want to reach 50K PIMP this year which is a daunting task. Today I have 23,000 staked, an increase of just over 500. Not my best week but with continuing weekly purchases I should be able to reach it. I'm almost halfway there!

What I like about PIMP is that it's the only token backed by physical silver. I know I've mentioned this before, but that is a big deal because worst case scenario it's always going to have some value.

HSBI

This was a goal I added in a little later on in the year, the goal is to reach 2K HSBI units. I'm at 1,888 today so I'm only 112 shy of the goal which will be achieved easily hopefully within one month. My giveaway each Sunday as well as my support by offering HSBI to the winners of Shadow Hunters, Three Tune Tuesday, and #ninetiesfriday really have helped to come very close to achieving this goal. PWR

This is a newer goal, I started delegating HP to empo.voter a few weeks ago to earn daily PWR tokens. These will begin to pay out daily Hive dividends to holders of the tokens. I'm just shy of two total tokens today, up about one half from last week. Slow but steady progress, I hope it pays off!

SIM

Another relatively new goal is to accumulate as much SIM as possible as it pays out daily Hive dividends. I have just over 215 K so up about 113 K on the week. I buy when I have some extra funds available since the price is not very high on the tokens, but I'm earning a little more than half a Hive a month right now. Not too bad!

You can also place these in a liquidity pool and they still count towards your total SIM and you receive daily Hive in addition to LP rewards, pretty cool!

Other Tokens

I have been slowly piling up EDS, DBOND, DAB, and BRO. No big changes this week except for gains made through the daily or weekly drips. In the case of EDS I do have some miners (EDSMM) and once or twice a month I hit the mining lottery which gives me some more EDS. I really want to increase my EDSMM, but it's gotten lower on my list as of late due to other projects I am investing in.

Silver

I also like to invest in physical precious metals, especially silver. It has pushed past $30 per Troy ounce and has maintained that level for some time. I hope we will see some more testing of higher levels in the weeks to come. It's always possible it could fall back below $30, but I think it's likely to stay above that level for the foreseeable future. As a member of the #silvergoldstackers I'm always hoping for more gains on precious metals. They are called precious for a reason, because they will always have value!
