Abandoned Neo-Gothic Chruch

Built in 1912 in a Neo-Gothic style, St Giles church served its Presbyterian congregation until 2013. When several church amalgamated into one building. There was a demolition permit issued for the building in 2018, despite the obvious heritage value. But it has since expired and the owner (New Vision Church) say they still plan to demolish the building.
The church was heavily explored by photographers in the area from 2020 - 2021 ( I was one of them) but then the building was secured with cameras, motion censors and on site security. But to my surprise, a door was wide open when I walked by it the other day. I slipped inside and cautiously did a walk through looking for cameras etc. With none found, I started snapping!
It was used as a movie set and the interior was altered drastically. That and it being night with city lights shining through the stain glass, gave a heavy apocalyptic feel!
Despite more than a decade of abandonment, movie shoots etc. it was surprising how much was left behind.
The explore ended with ashes of a family pet. Which felt fitting considering the vibe of the building. A great explore that I am very thankful to have been able to do!
