A couple months ago, I read the Webtoon version of Viral Hit and I found it really fun and interesting to read. The art style was to my liking and the story was entertaining. I was expecting quite a lot from the story since the writer was Park Tae-Jun, the creator of Lookism and My Life as a Loser which I both enjoyed... well, especially the former. :)

I got curious about the anime version, so I gave it a shot... and I don't regret doing so. :)

The story is about a high schooler named Yoo Hobin (Shimura). He's being bullied and often humiliated especially by one of his classmates who is a popular Newtube streamer named Pakgo (Hamaken).

Aside from being a subject for bullying, Hobin's troubles didn't end there. He's patiently working part-time to pay for his mother's hospital bills. He couldn't do anything and just tried to endure everything.

One day, a classmate named Jiksae (Kanegon) was streaming a game in Hobin's house while using his mother's account. Hobin who was about to serve him ramen tripped over a cord and disconnected his classmate's stream. The effect of this situation was the final straw for Hobin. He finally decided to fight back and they ended up having a crazy brawl.

Unknowingly, the cord he tripped over was only for the monitor and their pathetic fight was livestreamed and uploaded on Newtube. It had gone viral which allowed him to earn ten million won from the viewership.

The incident brought these two together and their channel "Viral Hit" was born. Hobin will now take on bullies like Pakgo and other powerful opponents on his way to the top of the streaming world with Jiksae as his cameraman slash manager. Will they survive and rise to the top or will they end up as failures? Feel free to watch it! :)

I must say, the fight scenes in the anime are so entertaining to watch... especially because of the background music. It somehow hyped up the scenes. It's just weird to hear their Japanese names in the audio, though. It's because I'm too used to their Korean names from the original Webtoon.

There were small changes and some scenes were cut or shortened, but it's understandable. I hope they include some of my favorite scenes from the Webtoon in the upcoming seasons.

I have high hopes for the upcoming seasons because the story just gets better as it progresses. Can't wait for the other characters to come out soon!

If you enjoyed the anime, I suggest you also read the Webtoon. It has 218 chapters and it's worth a read!

I'll end my post here. See you around! (^^,)/
