More fall colors at Buttonwod Park, New Bedford MA
Good morning and have a great day.
Now, it's not often I get out for walks during the day; one reason is my wife's health, and I generally like being home when she is awake, which is why I mostly go out early morning, and secondly I am an early bird and love starting the day with an early morning walk.
but theres a couple of seasons I make an exception, one being as it gets colder, I do not do so well in the cold so much these days so when the season changes and its to cold for me to get out for esrly morning walks, but the temps OK later in the day I pop out occassionaly for day time walks.
And the other reason for daytime walks, and which has led to this post, is the colors of Fall/Autumn; they come and go so quickly, and for the previous few years I haven't had much luck catching them, so I made an effort this year.
Today's photos are from a couple of visits to Buttonwood Park, called by many the Jewel of the city here in New Bedford.
Starting with this one, those that have followed me a while know I love this little tree on the small island in the pond; I caught it this time with some fall colors in the background.

And another view including what used to be the warming house, back when the pond used to freeze over, this was a popular spot for ice skating, and apparently they had a big warm fire going, hot chocolate, and other things for people to go in and warm up after skating.
