Mono Monday selective colors
Another weekend has raced on by, I hope it was a good weekend for you all
Now is it just me or does it seem (well, talking more when I was working) that the weekends seem to fly by so fast and the week working days seem to drag on so long.
As I tend to do on Mondays sharing a few mono shots, and trying to keep them interesting each week but setting myself a theme or challenge for shots I will share and this week I went with selective coloring.
And what is selective colorign you may ask, its also called color splash by some, but in simple terms its when you take a color photo and edit it into MONO. Well in fact, I think with all I am sharing today it is B&W and then selecting one color to allow through in the image.
It can be all of one color, or portion of the image with that color, so I hope that makes sense
Starting at the port for this first image, and blue being my favorite color I had to include one where the splash of color was blue.
Funnily enough I edited a few and when narrowing it down for which ones to share I notivced i had none with blue, so this was the last one I edited so I could include my favorite color

And this next one is on PoPes Island where I kept the yellow color sin portion of the image, funnily enough when looking for shots where this style I thought would work, I noticed shots at the port or of the commercial fishing boats seemed to be the ones that caught my eye

So I looked to include at least one shot that doesn't involve boats and went with the old Fort and a more sublte splash of color

and for the last one i am in fairhaven looking towards Popes Island
