Another disappointing display from the boys in blue this season, this time with all the new star signings on the pitch. There was a lot of excitement leading to this game, coming from the back of a historic transfer window that saw Chelsea break the British transfer record to bring in Enzo Fernadez from Benfica. Most of what was seen on the pitch left much to be desired with the blues facing the same problem as the one they had all season; lack of goals.

There were some signs of improvement though. We see Enzo being able to string together a few chances and get stuck in with a couple of tackles. We see Badishile with amazing composure all game. The Frenchman has been a great addition since his transfer from Monaco, keeping a clean sheet in all games he has started. Datro Fofana had a glorious opportunity at the closing stages of the game but was denied by a goal-line clearance. Madueke looked sharp but much is still expected of the youngster. Murdryk was particularly absent all throughout the first half before being subbed off for Madueke. The Ukrainian didn't look like the quality we saw at Liverpool, but it's only the early stages and the young man still has a lot to offer.

There is still some deadwood to be discarded. Ziyech was shambolic all game, before being subbed off. The introduction of Raheem Sterling didn't alter the course of the game too much. Mason Mount and Conor Galagher were not good enough, albeit they both showed glimpses of quality. The former created a glorious chance for Kai Havertz earlier in the game, and the latter supplied Fofana with a great pass later in the game. Kai Havertz was pretty much shite all game.

With the Premier League season gradually coming to an end, and Chelsea sitting mid-table, Graham Potter would be hopping his new stars hit the ground running quickly and start a late charge for a champions league spot. Still much to be expected and as a Chelsea fan, I can only be hopeful.
