Buying art on Hive

Since I have been on Hive I have discovered lots of artists. I think that is can be good site for that as you can put lots of images in a post and people can show their appreciation with votes. Making a living from art is not easy and can rely on actually selling works.

Early on I found @paolobeneforti and @silviabeneforti from Italy who are both great artists who have been showing there work here for years. I met them both at SF2 in Lisbon.

Whilst we were there Paolo drew a portrait of me that is part of a collection I have from various artists on Hive. I have said for ages that I would buy some of his art and I finally did it. He is making use of the new

to sell his works. I actually contacted him directly and he was happy to accept $HBD for a piece I liked. I like his fantasy worlds that capture aspects of human imagination.

Today I received a very well wrapped package that had some extra items. As well as the drawing I ordered there was a small painting by Silvia and a signed exhibition catalogue. I have given them a lot of votes over the years and am sharing the rewards from this post with them.

He has done a few that show how we grow from our experiences in life and I particularly liked this one.

I will be getting the pictures framed to put on my wall. We have a few originals here already that we have often found whilst travelling.

I really think we need to show some appreciation for the artists on Hive so that more will want to be here. I enjoy seeing these works in my feed. Perhaps you could own an original piece of art too. If may not be as expensive as you think and you may be able to use your Hive earnings.
