Q1 of 2025 is over, will Q2 be any better?

Hello SPIers, Say goodbye to Q1 2025, she gone! What a crazy start to this supposed bull year. Im sure that 100% of you reading this right now would not have thought HIVE would be trading at half the price at was 12 months ago at the start of Q2 2024. Hell, this time 4 years ago, HIVE was trading at closer to $0.80 but HIVE is not alone with most cryptos trading today at a price lower than 12 months ago. ETH, BNB, SOL, DOGE, ADA, LINK, AVAX, infact everything except XRP.
WHY?
Uncertainty in the markets is the answer. Compared to traditional markets, crypto is holding up ok. Amazon, Alphabet and Apple are all down 30%, AMD is down 40%, and Tesla is down nearly 50%. Nobody knows what is going on and Trump is unpredictable. People think the Trump trade tariffs are to blame, and they do play a part, but I think what plays a bigger part is the fact that Trump changes his mind a few times a day, they are on, they are delayed, they are back on,🤣 and alot of what he says does not make sense are align with reality. I LOVE TESSSLER!!😂
Even as I write this post, im seeing the triafs are now delayed for 90 days and the markets are pumping. How can anyone invest in these conditions? If he is pushing to crash the markets to force the FED to lower interest rates and turn on the money taps, and they do it, the markets will pump again. If not, im afraid we are in for a world of pain.
What can we do?
Nothing, you just have to hold your bags and pray to the crypto gods. Im bullish for Q2 but I was bullish for Q1 as well so shows what i know, haha. If you're a short-term investor, you will probally lose money, but if you're a long-term HODLer, you're good and this is but a blimp in the chart 10 years down the road. I remember when mtGox happened 12 years ago, and let me tell you, if there was ever a time for BTC or crypto to die, it was then, and I remember the extreme fear.
Long-term markets always trend up. Gold, index funds, and property all trade much higher than they did 20, 30, 40 years ago. When we print money, it gets pumped into the markets as debt, and the markets pump. Thats the way it's been since the FED was founded around 100 years ago. Pre 1920, there was little to no inflation in America, around 0.5% per year on average between 1790-1913. It was normal to see the price of things get cheaper as technological innovation made it cheaper to produce goods.
Want off track. What to do? HODL and wait it out. Stop checking crypto news, dont look at your pension, delete your portfolio app from your phone, get outside and kick a ball, go swimming, are whatever keeps to busy enough so you dont have time to stress, haha.
What about HIVE?
Ah man, I have no idea. Things are not looking great. I think the price will pump before the end of the year but I think it'll pump just because I think everything will pump before the end of the year. I dont expect it to hit a new all-time high because there are around 25% more HIVE in circulation compared to 2021 and probally fewer users. HIVE STEEM in 2016-17 was groundbreaking because people could earn from blogging, but long-form content is out the window a long time already, and YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit all have programs that pay content creators dollars.
From my POV, HIVE's future focus should be on building utility and growing its ecosystem to make it attractive to investors. Content will always be important for HIVE as a way to distribute HIVE's inflation to HP holders, but I think HIVE (not HP) has so much wasted potential that we'll never utilize. Username wallets address, free transactions, scalable and fast as f*ck 3 second transactions make HIVE a killer blockchain for transactions. Things need to evolve, are they die slowly.
