“No Dust”………………….
I don’t think Silvertop needs to worry about dusty trails, just yet!😇
Another round of rain showers for possibly today and tomorrow, and maybe Friday, and then it looks like Sunshine forever Lol!🤣😎
As always, my rain coat stays packed inside my backpack!😇
I watched the sky get darker, and darker, as I split firewood outside this morning 🙄……….
I have been wanting to get back to the Gold Mine for a hike, and I was still “Sizing “ up my chances of getting drenched on a hike today!😅
Everyone in the neighborhood is waiting for that “Big switch in the Sky” to flip to zero percent chance rain for the entire Summer Lol!🤣😎
That’s how weather in the Northwest rolls!😊
In town, they have already started restricting water usage, and put an outdoor “Burn Ban” in affect, while it is still raining Lol!🙄
With winter rains, trees tend to have very shallow root systems, like you can see in one of my photo in the middle of my post!😳
Even with rainfall the trail in the following two photos looked dry today, the tall forest canopy blocks a lot of the rain!😅
Several miles up the trail, Silvertop came to a fork in the trail………….
Left would take me straight uphill to the Historical log cabin…………
Right takes you to the Gold mine and the safe concreted into the hillside!😊
Darker clouds will building up overhead…..
No rain so far today, but it’s definitely coming !😮
The third option for today, Silvertop cuts and “Runs/ Walks” back to the trailhead and calls today’s hike!😇
Yep…… Silvertop is calling today’s hike!
One of the larger creeks I cross on foot is Hayden creek.
This is a fast running creek in the Winter, and might tend to “Flash Flood” in the Summer!😳
Another day …….Silvertop will be back!
After all I have all Summer!😎
