What would a good pocket silver?

Although pocket coins like the Morgan or Peace dollar coin are very popular, others may think that using valuable or rare coins as pocket pieces is not advisable. At any rate, anything with real value should be stored safely so it doesn’t get damaged or go missing.

A good pocket silver is one you can afford to lose financially but still enjoy carrying because it matters to you.

A good example of a #pocketsilver is this

The obverse is a Mesoamerican Sunstone, also known as the Aztec Calendar. The Aztec calendar is stunning and seems very complex!

The Aztec Calendar is an amazing system of tracking days and time as well as the significance of that day and how it would be impactful in a positive or negative spiritually, religiously and personally as well as for an event or occasion. A 52 year 365-day cycle system of 18 20 day cycles that aligned with another 260-day rotation with a 13-day cycle gave every year and day a unique name and number identification. Years, Days and periods have a name and number identification like 7 rabbit 1 wind 7 reed as well as a governing diety.

The reverse shows a portrait of Cuauhtemoc surrounded by the weight and fineness of fine silver.

In 1947 and 1948, Mexico honored Cuauhtémoc, the last king of the Aztec Empire, by striking a legal-tender coin in one ounce of 90% fine Mexican silver. Cuauhtémoc, whose name means “one who has descended like an eagle,” ascended to the throne in 1520 at a time when the Aztec empire was being besieged by Spanish invaders from one side and ravaged by smallpox on the other. Just 25 years old when he assumed power, Cuauhtémoc reigned for only a year before surrendering the kingdom to Spanish Conquistador Hernán Cortés. Fearing Cuauhtemoc would lead a revolt, Cortés had the young king hanged to squash any thoughts of rebellion against Spanish rule.
