My sorority sisters insisted on having a Christmas get-together at my place. I reminded them that we just celebrated in the Bay Area, but they were set on having another one... girls only, and told me not to worry about cooking at all!

Well, my house is always open. I've hosted Christmas gatherings here more times than I can count, so of course we ended up doing it again last night!

The girls are meat eaters, like me (lol), so I prepared prime rib.

And baked salmon.

And mashed potatoes (with truffles).

And some vegetable sides.

A charcuterie board of cured meats like salami, prosciutto, alongside some salmon, an array of cheeses, and crackers... and cocktail shrimps.

Of course, we had wines, liquor, cocktails... lots of it!

My sisters brought all sorts of food and desserts!

We had too much fun!!! For one thing, we were all girls, and no husbands in sight, which set the mood for a carefree afternoon till night! A few kids were running around, but the energy was definitely all about the ladies. It was the perfect mix of freedom, laughter, and a little bit of chaos in the best possible way.

There was hardly any leftover food, and I begged them to take everything because my refrigerators and freezers, inside the house and in the garage, were completely full.
