A place to dream: The magic of coffee [eng-esp]

Many times the small places that we know end up leaving a great impact in our lives, some time ago during one of my outings I had the great pleasure of passing by a small very old city, everything around it looked very well preserved but from medieval times, I felt for a moment living in Spain.

My sight was impressed I could not stop admiring so much beauty, when suddenly my attention was fixed on a hidden place that seemed to be rather hidden among very old stones, I could not continue my way without daring to enter there, my biggest surprise was discovered by my olfactory receptors where the aromatic and impregnating smell of coffee seduced me to its interior.

I am almost sure that this place should not appear registered in any map or social networks, but if you need to take a break to delight yourself with coffee, this is an ideal space. Inside you could only hear the cups and spoons, plus its smell was much more seductive when you went deeper into it and it had a peculiar effect it seemed that the time inside there was paralyzed.

I was so enchanted by the place that I had not noticed the barista who had his eyes on me and smiling said something surprising: if you are a coffee lover, can you make 3 wishes? At that moment I said to myself, you are definitely dreaming, so much caffeine during the day has you hypnotized, I gave myself a little pinch to get out of doubt and a slight pain made me confirm the reality.

The barista told me, you just have to close your eyes, take a deep breath and let your heart speak for you, my first wish was not long in coming "May each sip of coffee remind me of the special moments I have experienced in my life" it is magnificent to remember how something so simple and everyday, can become transcendental, how in the middle of a cup of steaming coffee you can experience endless memories, crazy laughter and an explosive mix of emotions. Definitely coffee is our best awakening, it gives us energy and feeds our soul.

My second wish is "May coffee always have a place at my table with the people I love" for me coffee is an almost universal drink, I share my pleasure with other lovers, we delight in its exquisite aroma and the silence of its tasting or the chatter between sips. May coffee always be a reason for celebration or a bridge where we decide to restore our emotions and affirm connections.

And as a third wish, but no less important “May the love and passion for living each day intentionally be as great as the desire to have my first cup of coffee in the morning” that unique and special moment where silence reigns between us, where having that warm cup of coffee in my hands, allows me to visualize an effective organization of my day and its aroma transmits hope and energy to me.

As I left the coffee shop I couldn't help but feel a magical sensation in my body. I continued walking with my cup of coffee and I felt a little confused, but I haven't been able to forget that experience, so since that day, every time I drink coffee I remember that life is so ephemeral that we should just live it slowly and surrounded by love like when you are savoring every sip of steaming coffee.

Muchas veces los pequeños lugares que conocemos nos terminan por dejar un gran impacto en nuestras vidas, hace un tiempo durante uno de mis salidas tuve el gran placer de pasar por una pequeña cuidad muy antigua, todo a su alrededor se veía muy bien conservado pero de los tiempos medievales, me sentí por un momento viviendo en España.

Mi vista estaba impresionada no podía dejar de admirar tanta belleza, cuando de repente mi atención se fijó en un lugar recóndito que parecía estar más bien oculto entre piedras muy antiguas, no pude seguir mi camino sin atreverme a entrar allí, mi mayor sorpresa fue descubierta por mis receptores olfativos donde el aromático e imprégnante olor al café me sedujeron hasta su interior.

Estoy casi segura que este lugar no debe aparecer registrado en ningún mapa o redes sociales, pero si necesitas hacer una pausa para deleitarte con el café, este es un espacio ideal. En su interior se escuchaban solo las tazas y las cucharillas, además su olor era mucho más seductor cuando profundizabas en él y tenía un efecto peculiar parecía que el tiempo allí dentro se paralizaba.

Yo estaba tan encantada por el lugar que no me había percatado del barista quien tenía su mirada puesta en mí y sonriendo me dijo algo sorpresivo: ¿si eres amante del café, puedes pedir 3 deseos? En ese momento me dije a mi misma definitivamente estas soñando tanta cafeína durante el día te tiene hipnotizada, me di un pequeño pellizco para salir de duda y un ligero dolor me hizo confirmar la realidad.

El barista me dijo, solo debes cerrar tus ojos, respira profundo y deja que sea justamente tu corazón quien hable por ti, mi primer deseo no se hizo esperar “Que cada sorbo de café me recuerde los momentos especiales que he experimentado en mi vida” es magnífico recordar como algo tan sencillo y cotidiano, puede volverse trascendental, como en medio de una taza de café humeante se puede experimentar un sinfín de recuerdos, risas alocadas y una mezcla explosiva de emociones. Definitivamente el café es nuestro mejor despertar, nos proporciona energía y nos alimenta el alma.

Mi segundo deseo es “Que el café siempre tenga un lugar en mi mesa junto a las personas que amo” para mí el café es una bebida casi universal comparto mi placer por el junto a otros amantes, nos deleitamos con su exquisito aroma y el silencio de su degustación o el parloteo entre sorbo y sorbo. Que el café siempre sea motivo de celebración o sea un puente donde decidimos restaurar nuestras emociones y afirmar conexiones.

Y como tercer deseo, pero no menos importante “Que el amor y la pasión por vivir cada día intencionalmente sea tan grande como las ganas de tomar mi primera taza de café en la mañana” ese momento único y especial donde el silencio reina entre nosotros, donde estando esa taza de café cálida entre mis manos, me permite visualizar una organización efectiva de mi transcurrido día y su aroma me transmite esperanza y energía.

Al salir de la cafetería no pude evitar sentir una mágica sensación en mi cuerpo, continuo caminando con mi taza de café y me siento algo confundida, pero no he podido olvidar aquella experiencia vivida, por lo que desde aquel día, cada vez que tomo café recuerdo que la vida es tan efímera que solo debemos vivirla con pausa y rodeada de amor como cuando estas saboreando cada sorbo de café humeante.
