Hello All,
How are you doing today?
Welcome everyone to see my new post. After visiting Noorjahan Tea Estate, we drove to Madhabpur Lake which is not just a lake, it's another Tea Estate and I noticed "Madhabpur Tea Estate" on the ticket but its known Madhabpur Lake thrughout the internet. This was the most attractive place that we found in our Sreemangal Tour. I'm showing you part of this place as the first sights and I might show more of this place later.
This place was outside the entrance of Madhabpur Lake. We visited this place before entering there and there were many colorful cars parked there. These are called jeep cars. Generally, a Jeep vehicle is a good option for those who travel with a good numbers of peoples as they're costly.
We wanted to go there by jeep but the fare of these vehicles was high and we were only four peoples when a jeep can take more than 10. So we went by a CNG. Anyway, I took this picture to keep a memory with it. Although my husband promised me to rent a jeep next time we visit there.
Then my husband bought this ticket which was not to enter in the tea estate, but to park our three wheeler auto CNG there. The price of this ticket was only 20 BDT.
There were some flowering trees at the entrance and the flowers were very colorful and beautiful. My husband gave me this flower because he knows I like them very much. I miss that hand watch I was wearing as it stopped working later.
After walking quite a way I saw a signboard of this place. There was the tourist police phone number. This facility was there for any help to travelers.
Finally, we reached Madhabpur Lake. We had to walk for about 10 minutes to reach there from the entrance. I want to tell you a little about this lake.
Madhabpur Lake is a beautiful lake surrounded by smaller hills and most of them are covered with tea gardens. The water of this lake is very clear. After going there, you will think that rows of tea plantations on high hills, dark green mountains, blue sky above the head, their reflection on the lake bed all seem like a picture drawn by an artist.
My husband and I took some great pictures while standing by this lake. There was a sitting area next to this lake at the entrance but I didn't notice any on our way forward so we sat there for some time and enjoyed the view of the lake while taking rest.
After I went there, I got to know the history of this Madhabpur lake from the local people. Generally tea plantations require a lot of water for tea cultivation. In hilly areas where there is more rain, tea cultivated gets easier. However, even if the rain is high, the water goes away quickly due to the slope of the hilly area.
So through times, the garden authorities built watercourses with dams. Local people call these lakes dump. The tea plantation authorities there built this lake by damming 3 mounds in the garden.
This tea garden was visible on the other side of the lake so I went there. After going there I saw some tea workers. I saw this hat on their head and a man gave me this hat to take pictures. The hat was beautiful and I even took a few pictures with the hat on. Then I gave the hat to the tea worker and thanked him. They were very simple and were very good people.
Then I was standing by the lake and my husband suddenly took these pictures. He took my pictures beautifully and the view of the lake was amazing. Sunlight added to the beauty of the lake.
By the side of the lake some people were selling various kinds of food, mostly fruits. There were some pineapples. This is my husband's favorite fruit. He saw the pineapples and bought them.
They cut the pineapple very nicely. Seeing the color of the pineapple, I understood that it was quite ripe. Its taste was very sweet and juicy. The pineapple was so fresh and it was good to eat.
Then we went there to climb the hills. This road up the hill was very scary. At first I did not dare to go up there. Then my husband helped me up to the hill and I climbed very carefully.
I went up the hill by a rough road. I took this picture standing on top of a hill. Everything could be seen clearly from the top of the hill.
The view of the place was great. You would notice that the clouds in the sky were clearly visible. The view of white clouds and blue sky was very beautiful. Although there was a lot of sunshine. So I felt too much body temperature.
I saw a very beautiful butterfly there. I quietly went forward and took a picture of the butterfly. Although there were many more colorful butterflies and they sensed my presence and flew away.
Here the lake below could be seen from the top of the hill. Notice that there was a number written on the big tree. I think the tea garden authorities write these numbers on the trees. Maybe they keep count of the trees with those numbering or something else.
I'll talk more about this place another day showing some more beautiful photos that I stored for it.
That's it for today. Hope you like all the stories of this trip. Everyone stay healthy and travel on.
