A tour in the mountain tops of black coffee I Tuburan Coffee Farm, Tuburan Cebu

Hello, how are you today wonderful people in this awesome community? I hope all of us are doing great. Today was an excellent day for me. In my previous blog, I was able to share with you my merry-go-round adventure to 360 Degree View in Tuburan, Cebu.

For today, I will also be sharing with you another wonderful place to visit in Tuburan, just a couple of minutes away from Tuburan 360, I also have the chance to explore the wonderful Tuburan Coffee Farm.

According to Hugh Jackman, "To me, the smell of freshly–made coffee is one of the greatest inventions.” Yes, I agree. Who wouldn't love to sip a cup of coffee? I guess almost everyone loves to go to work with their coffee on the table beforehand. I love to sip a cup of coffee early in the morning or after dinner. The aroma of the coffee will help brighten and ease my day. Though I'm a coffee lover, I drink in moderation to avoid palpitation.

Before making a tour, a little bit of information about the place. Tuburan Coffee Farm is located in Barangay Kabangkalan, Tuburan Cebu. It is the first and largest supplier of homegrown coffee brands in Cebu. The first coffee plantation in the Municipality of Tuburan was established around the year 2012, since then the operation from seed-to-cup coffee was becoming well-known to others.

It was an initiative of their Municipal Mayor to make an establishment on the top of one of the mountainous barangay to help the locals to make a living. This way also helps them eliminate the problem of deforestation and illegal logging in the locality and develop the place for some tourism activities.
Coffee Farm Nurseries...
Before reaching the place, a metal arc saying Tuburan Coffee Farm will be seen on the highway. As we continue walking, I was mesmerized by how the caretakers managed to beautify the place.

The first one you will see before entering the place is their nursery 1 and 2. You can see a lot of seedlings ready to be planted from their nurseries. I guess the number of seedlings seen from afar is countless because of their number. Hats off to their caretakers for doing great in maintaining the seedlings healthy despite the changes in the weather.

Moving closer to their gate, you can see from left to right the healthy-grown coffee plants. The wide area of the place was very much productive with their coffee. I also see a nipa-hut labeled for the "cutting area". This means the Robusta coffee plant is bred through stem cutting. This way, they can harvest in lesser months compared to the seed-grown plants.

Walking along the aisle, there is a footpath that would lead you toward the coffee house where all the coffee beans were stored and processed.

Coffee House View and Ambiance...
As we arrive, the aroma of the coffee spread all over the house will activate coffee lovers' cells to try to sip some cup of coffee. After 3 minutes of roaming around the place, the caretaker asked us how many are we in our group for her to prepare the cup of coffee. I love the hospitality shown and the marketing strategy of the place toward the visitors.

While waiting, we are allowed to roam around the place. Oh, viola! This is my first time seeing how the coffee beans were being processed before we could drink it. A lot of coffee beans are placed inside the sacks for sale and ready to be processed for the suppliers of Tuburan Coffee Beans. I got the chance to see the coffee beans being displayed outside using the solar dryer.

As I go back to the coffee house, our FREE taste of brewed coffee is ready to be served with brown sugar beside it. Oh, how tasty the cup of coffee served to us. It surely brightens our day even more. What I also love about the place is, the hospitable and approachable attitude of the caretakers, and whatever information we asked, they would not hesitate to answer it with smiles on their faces.

They are also selling lower-priced coffee in the place. Your 1 box of drip coffee with 10 bags inside will only be worth Php450.00 or 8.02 USD. While if you will buy in other stores, it's a little bit higher. While sipping, the caretakers also give us the idea that they were the ones who supply coffee beans to Tuburan 360 which is located nearby, and to Tuburan Cafe located in the town center.

Coffee-Farm Tour...
A tour of their farm is fabulous, where you can see ripe and green-colored coffee beans is also allowed. You just have to ask permission from them, and there you go, you can check the place and be with your friends for free without an entrance fee.

This is my first time seeing personally the ripe and green-colored coffee beans. It's amazing how locals nurtured the area and make a living. Surely because of this, people will now have a way of living to buy their necessities through farming.

I enjoyed so much of my day, from Tuburan 360 to the exploration of Tuburan Coffee Farm is truly an adventure and a wonderful story to share with everyone.

That's all for today Hive friends. Have a nice day everyone!
