The last few weekends I had been getting some camping in before winter and was able to take in the NASCAR Championship in Phoenix. So this weekend was spending time at home, working on some projects I have had planned, and of course enjoying some beers that were new to me.

One of the projects I finished was a caddy to help us carry items from our bar to our residence. The bar isn't far but often it requires numerous trip so I solved the problem with this small caddy.

Since I mentioned our bar this is a picture of the inside and also shows a little of my beer brewing and wine making room which is the room behind to our bar. We really enjoy entertaining family, friends, and neighbors here.

This next picture is a picture I had of the outside the bar while I was brewing some beer. Our house isn't far from the bar but it is about 40 feet from the bar and up a short flight of stairs away. So the caddy has made carrying items nice.

So for the first beer of #Beersaturday, my wife bought me a four pack of Calicraft Brewing's hazy IPA called "Karl the Fog". Calicraft Brewing is located in Walnut Creek California. I have had a few Calicraft beers before and liked them but I had never had Karl the Fog. The beer uses Citra and Mosiac hops which are common in IPAs and give a tropical fruit and citrus taste. This beer was 6.8% ABV but was easy to drink.

So the next project was something I had been thinking of doing for a long time. It started when we bought new couches. The old couches had an electric reclining feature, which I thought would be interesting to incorporate into this next project. The project I made was a rolling cart that contained everything I need to bottle beer and wine. So I had taken the electric motor and switch out of the old couches before I got rid of them and started designing.

One problem I have always had was trying to get the last bit of wine or beer out of the fermenter without getting some of the sediment from the bottom. The fermenters always have a spout that keeps the sediment at the bottom but sometimes to finsihing filling a bottle I would have to tip the fermenter which stirred up the sediment. So this cart will tilt that fermenter and then I can leave it sit for a minute and let the sediment settle before filling the last bit. The next picture is the finished cart with the couch motor tilting a fermenter. I also have put a video of a test I did of the tilting so it's easier to understand.

I have been able to use the cart to bottle wine and it works perfectly.

So now that the projects are finished I can enjoy more beer. So the next two beers are both from Hopvalley Brewing Company. Hopvalley Brewing is located in Eugene Oregon. The first beer I had was called "Stash Bandicoot" and was a Hazy Imperial IPA. Stash Bandicoot had an 8 % ABV and was brewed with Citra, Chinook, and Ahtanum Hops. This was a strong IPA with hints of apricot. I did enjoy this beer.

The next beer from Hopvalley was called "Alpha Centauri" and was an Imperial IPA. Alpha Centauri had a 9% ABV and was brewed with Simcoe, Ekuanot, and Citra hops. The hops gave a piney taste with hints of citrus. I seem to like beers with the piney taste the best and really enjoyed this beer even more then the Stash Bandicoot.

To finish this post since I talked about some of my hobbies I thought I would add a few games that I enjoy on hive.

The first game most people are probably familiar with is Splinterlands. Splinterlands is a card game similar to the popular Magic card game. I had taken a break from it but I am back playing again. If your interested in Splinterlands here is a link or go to splinterlands.com.

I have also played Risingstar for a few years and they do keep updating the game adding features to keep it interesting. Risingstar is a music based click to earn game. If you interested go to risingstargame.com.

The last game I wanted to mention was Demonicore which is newer but keeps improving. The game is a click to earn game that has you defeating demons in battles and Exorcisms. If your interested go to demonicore.com.

Thanks for reading and hope you have a great week.
