The most embarrassing moment of my life

Greetings!

This life is always full of ups and downs and at times, you are the bride of everyone and at the other time, you happen to be the scapegoat that everyone would want to embarrass.

Having said that, I would like to quickly delve into the topic of the prompt which is all about, “that one embarrassing moment I'll never forget.”

As for me, that most embarrassing moment I would never forget was the one with a lady whom I love so much but doesn't love me in return. I loved this girl so much that despite her not accepting me and my love for her, I still tried to get her things which she would always accept from me.

After I have wooed her on several occasions both in the public space and in the private and all to no avail, I sent one of my friends to her to help me talk to her, but she wouldn't listen to him.

Also, when I had done all these and there was no result, I sent her friend who happened to be our coursemate in the same department of the same university to her and when her friend had told her about my message to her, she asked her friend to tell me that I should see her.

When her friend told me this, I was very delighted and I promised to see her the following day. I asked her friend where she would prefer us to meet and she told me that she asked us to at the faculty of law basement.

So, in preparation for meeting her the following day, I went to the school mall to get her things which I would present to her on the day of our meeting.

However, when the day came, I went to our agreed meeting point and when I got there, I met her with her friends which were numbered up to 11 and also around the place, there were other people there too.

I told her that she should excuse her friends so that we could talk, but she said they're her friends and she couldn't excuse them, so she asked me to say what I wanted to say as they were not strangers. I tried to convince her to excuse her friends but instead, she shouted at me and her friends began to mock me, calling me names and the attention of those that were around were drawn to me. She and her friends even scattered the gift items I brought along with me to the place and I was so embarrassed.

I left the place covering my face in shame and since that day, I never deemed it fit to approach a lady again as I would not want to be embarrassed like that again in my life.

Although I'm now married, I have to put that behind me and approach my wife now who didn't even give me a tough time like the other lady.
