You see for me, dressing can be a daily struggle. I'm the kind of person who is frequently faced with the dilemma of what to put on. I ask the questions should I dress casually, more extravagantly... or not?

My fashion sense is always on a rollercoaster. I can stands in front of my closet for hours puzzling on what to wear like trying to solve a rubik cube blindfolded, yeah that kind of thing before I know it, an hour, 2 hours is gone.

Self realization

I've come to realize that my dressing decisions have a direct correlation with my mood. If I am in a good mood, I'm most likely a fashion genius; if in a bad mood, well I might end up dressing like a clown, yeah, not clown in the real sense, you know what I mean right? More like a disaster of mismatch and color combination

On a very good day, emphasis on "very good day" I breeze through this initial choice. But let's be honest, most days are not "very good days." Most days involve standing in front of my closet, staring at a sea of hangers filled with clothing, and feeling utterly lost. So lost that if they were to give a movie title to the the predicament I am in, it would be none other than "The closet of confusion"

It can be frustrating, for me, people who are blessed with the innate ability to effortlessly put together stylish outfits are like the Albert Einstein of the fashion world . Trust me I wonder why it could be so hard?" Then I remember that eventhough stuffs like quantum physics can be so hard and boring for some people, some people do love it . We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and mine just happens to involve dressing to suit the occasion or situation

What have I done to tackle this problem

Well, I googled the problem like almost every normal person in need of a pressing solution to a problem would do, tried various strategies. There was a phase when I color-coded my clothes, thinking that would simplify the process. Red shirts go with black pants, blue shirts go with blue jeans, and so on, that kind of thing, to cut things short, it failed spectacularly when I ended up attending a formal event dressed informally

Then there was my brief where I decided to try out outfit planning apps. These app assistants promised to pick out daily outfit, sparing me the agony of decision-making. In short it also failed

Hopefully, I have been able to differentiate between clothing for casual setting from formal settings. So yes for the casual and mostly social event settings I usually resort to what can be called the randomness technique, I close my eye and let fate decide, fate can be cruel sometimes. Surprisingly, this method has yielded some unexpectedly stylish combinations, proving that sometimes randomness can prove to be a sense for fashion.

Final verdict on my dressing sense

I have definitely developed a better dressing sense over the years, maybe someday I'll master the art of effortless dressing. Until then, I'm embracing the chaos and becoming a more of a fashion for all, and fashion for one, kind of person, if you know what I mean.

Thanks for reading
